Greenwich O2 Apartment
First Impressions
Walking into the Greenwich O2 Apartment complex on Artillery Place, you immediately get that “this is actually pretty nice” feeling. The Kennard Apartments building has this modern residential vibe that’s way more appealing than your typical hotel lobby — it feels like you’re staying somewhere locals would actually want to live. The four-star rating makes perfect sense when you see the sleek entrance and well-maintained common areas.
The Space
Here’s what I loved about the apartment setup — you get a proper living space, not just a cramped hotel room. The kitchen is fully equipped (honestly, I was surprised by how complete it was), which means you can actually cook if you want to save some money or just fancy a quiet night in. The layout flows really well, and there’s enough space that you don’t feel like you’re climbing over your luggage every five minutes.
Location Magic
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re in Greenwich proper, which gives you that lovely village-in-the-city feel, but the O2 is literally right there when you want big-city entertainment. I mean, you can walk to Greenwich Park and the Maritime Museum in one direction, then hop on the cable car to Canary Wharf in the other. The transport links are actually fantastic — North Greenwich tube station connects you to central London in about 20 minutes.
Local Neighborhood
Artillery Place itself is this quiet residential street that most tourists never stumble across, but it’s perfectly positioned. There’s a decent Sainsbury’s nearby for groceries, and the Greenwich Peninsula has been developing nicely over the past few years. The waterfront walks along the Thames are genuinely lovely — especially at sunset when you get those views across to Canary Wharf. Plus, if you’re into events or concerts, having the O2 Arena practically on your doorstep is pretty special.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.6 rating really reflects what you experience here — it’s that sweet spot between hotel service and apartment independence. You get the freedom to do your own thing, proper parking if you’re driving, but still have someone to call if something goes wrong. Families especially seem to love having the extra space and kitchen facilities, while business travelers appreciate being able to spread out with work stuff. It’s one of those places where you actually feel settled after a day or two, rather than just passing through.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
