citizenM Tower of London
First Impressions
Walking into citizenM Tower of London, you’re immediately struck by how they’ve managed to make a four-star hotel feel both cutting-edge and welcoming. The lobby buzzes with this creative energy — there’s colorful contemporary art everywhere, and honestly, it’s the kind of place where you actually want to hang out rather than just pass through. The staff here really knows their stuff, and you can tell they’re genuinely excited to help rather than just going through the motions.
Location & Neighborhood
The location is absolutely brilliant — you’re right in the heart of the City of London, literally steps from the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. I mean, you can’t get much more central than Trinity Square. What’s great is that while you’re surrounded by all these historic landmarks, you’re also perfectly positioned for getting around the rest of London. The Tower Hill tube station is basically on your doorstep, and you know what? That makes all the difference when you’re trying to explore the city.
The Room Experience
The room design is where citizenM really shows off — everything’s controlled through this massive tablet that manages lighting, temperature, even the blinds. It sounds gimmicky, but it actually works beautifully. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the rain showers are the kind you don’t want to get out of. Storage is cleverly designed too, which matters more than you’d think in a city hotel where space comes at a premium.
Dining & Social Spaces
The canteenM restaurant serves up solid international cuisine, but what I really love is how the whole ground floor flows together as one big social space. There are these cozy nooks where you can work on your laptop, and the bar area has this great buzz in the evenings. The breakfast spread is quite good — fresh, varied, and they actually know how to make proper coffee, which isn’t always a given in London hotels.
Why Guests Love It
What sets this place apart is how it balances modern convenience with genuine character. You’ve got all the tech you could want, but it never feels cold or impersonal. The combination of the unbeatable location, thoughtful design, and staff who actually seem to care creates something special. Plus, there’s something pretty amazing about stepping out your front door and being able to walk to the Tower of London in about two minutes — it’s the kind of detail that makes your London trip feel effortless.
