When I first approached Wild Roses Serviced Apartments – Greenwich, honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the exterior. The building sits quietly on Dowells Street, and you might actually walk past it if you’re not paying attention. But once you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone’s put real thought into making this feel like home rather than just another hotel stay.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about staying in Greenwich — you’re far enough from central London to breathe, but close enough that the DLR whisks you into Canary Wharf in about ten minutes. I mean, you can walk to the Cutty Sark in five minutes, and the Maritime Museum is practically around the corner. What I really appreciated was how quiet this street gets in the evenings, especially considering you’re so close to all the tourist spots.
The Apartment Experience
This four-star property really delivers on the serviced apartment concept. My room felt more like a proper flat than hotel accommodation — there’s actually space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The kitchen isn’t just for show either; it’s got everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Sainsbury’s down the road. The WiFi was solid throughout my stay, which honestly matters more than fancy marble when you’re trying to work.
Daily Life & Practical Matters
You know what struck me? The housekeeping team actually seems to care about the details. Fresh towels appeared like clockwork, and they didn’t disturb you if you hung the privacy sign — simple stuff that makes a difference. There’s no on-site restaurant, but Greenwich has brilliant pubs and cafes within walking distance. The Trafalgar Tavern is maybe a seven-minute stroll if you fancy a proper meal with river views.

Bus 5 minutes away, metro less than 10 minutes.
We would definitely stay there again.
What could be improved: There are some problems with some doors not opening and closing properly.
Unfortunately we were not sent full instructions, but when we had difficulty finding the flat and with some of the facilities, the owner promptly answered the phone and helped us.

"A great apartment to stay at during London Marathon weekend"
The apartment is at an excellent location. Picking up the keys from a nearby local shops made check in relatively easy. The free secured parking at the complex was a bonus. The kitchen has everything you need if you fancy cooking a simple meal instead of eating out. The host was great and respond to queries very quickly.
What could be improved: There are few maintenance issues at the flat. One of us had to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room which is missing a blind. As soon as sun rises, the room become too bright to sleep. The doors to the balcony need fixing too. They are very difficult to shut once its open. The inside doorframe of entrance door was hold up by Sellotape which made us feel a bit unsafe at night.

"Superb"
The apartment was very comfortable, clean, welcoming and easy for commuting. We found the whole experience very relaxing.
The host was pleasant and very accommodating.
Have rebooked already!

The apartment is beautiful, clean and in a very nice location. The view is lovely.

"Excellent location and facilities only spoiled by the flat needing several repairs."
Very spacious and lovely views of the river. Comfy beds with good quality linen and plenty of towels.
What could be improved: Apartment needs several repairs eg. Patio doors, kitchen cupboard door, bathroom door. Balcony and windows needed a good clean. Adequate but rather random crockery and only one teaspoon. No welcome or appliance information.

Good location if you’re mostly staying in Greenwich.
What could be improved: For an apartment, some of the basic necessities were not stocked up, like garbage bags, dishwashing liquid, etc, with no housekeeping services nor instructions on where to dispose of garbage if the bags were full. We had to buy our own supplies.

Beautiful property in a lovely location. The host and his housekeeper were nice and accommodating, when our check in was delayed (thank you again).

"Very Good ,but could have been excellent if we hadn’t experienced the problems l have mentioned."
We were met in the car park , the young man then helped with our luggage to the apartment We were shown around the apartment ,he was helpful Very good to have a parking place
The Apartment was clean , nice quality towels and bedding ,good supply of crockery Overall we enjoyed our stay at this location. Great views
What could be improved: 2 out of 3 doors didn’t open as they should have onto the balcony and the 3 rd door didn’t open properly.access to the balcony could only be through the large bedroom , not the lounge , not the 2 nd bedroom, this could have been a big problem for us the couple using the larger bedroom didn’t have privacy when others wanted to used the balcony.
No opening windows in the apartment at all ! No air conditioning. This would be a massive problem in warmer months .
No blinds in larger bedroom l had to hang up a blanket each nighttime this was not satisfactory.The bind in 2nd bedroom was broken.
As both couples usually sleep in king or super king sized beds we found the standard double beds not as comfortable as they could have been.
