Overview
First Impressions
Welcome London – The Piazza sits right in the heart of Covent Garden, and honestly, the location hits you before you even walk through the doors. This four-star property occupies a charming Georgian building on Shelton Street — you know, one of those narrow London streets that feels like it’s hiding secrets around every corner. The entrance is understated in that distinctly British way, but once you’re inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about what travelers need.
The Covent Garden Advantage
I mean, you’re literally steps from Covent Garden Market and the Royal Opera House. What struck me most was how you can slip out for a morning coffee at Monmouth Coffee (just a two-minute walk) or catch a late show in the West End without dealing with the Underground. London can be exhausting to navigate, but from here, you’re already where everything happens. The Neal’s Yard area is practically your backyard — perfect for that Instagram shot everyone seems to want.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but cleverly designed — they’ve clearly figured out how to make small spaces work without feeling cramped. The beds are properly comfortable (not always a given in London hotels), and there’s decent storage space for your suitcase. What I appreciated most was the modern bathroom with a powerful shower — after a day of walking around the city, that matters more than you’d think.
Practical Details That Matter
The staff actually know the neighborhood well, which isn’t something you can say about every hotel. They’ll steer you toward the good pubs (The Lamb & Flag is their go-to recommendation) and away from the tourist traps. There’s no on-site restaurant, but honestly, with Dishoom, Rules, and dozens of other excellent spots within a five-minute walk, you won’t miss it. The Wi-Fi works consistently, and they keep the common areas clean without being fussy about it.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the fanciest hotel in London, but it gets the fundamentals right. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you consider what most people actually want — a clean, comfortable base in an unbeatable location without paying Savoy prices. You’re not getting a spa or 24-hour room service, but you are getting genuine value in one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods. For travelers who’d rather spend their money exploring London than sitting in their hotel room, Welcome London – The Piazza delivers exactly what it promises.

"Nice apartment, in great location, with all the appliances you would need for a stay.."
Nice and clean apartment, the host was easy to communicate with, even allowed to leave ar stuff at the apartment before check in, because our flight was really early.. All the appliances worked good, allmost every meal was cooked in apartment. The location also was great, right in the centre, if you want to go for a walk, everything is within 40min, but also if you are lazy, public transport is close.
What could be improved: Tore my jacket going in from the balcony, so watch out for sharp edges on wondow mullion, other then that, nothing to complain about..

"Perfect location and design!"
Perfect location, stylish apartment! Check in and communication with host was perfect, all amenities are there!
What could be improved: Doors make sounds so everybody wakes up when opening, they should fix them. Cleaner of the neighbour aparment came to clean the apartment after the guests at 6 o'clock in the morning on a Saturday so woke us up with moving the whole furniture for 30 minutes.

"Overall we enjoyed our stay. This unit was clean and close Covent Garden and other major attractions. Super convenient!"
This property is very close to Covent Garden, seven dials market and theatre district. It’s super convenient and walking distant to all the close by major attractions.
What could be improved: There’s a set of staircase to go up to the unit but it’s manageable.

What could be improved: A vacuum cleaner would have been nice as we stayed for 5 days and there was no facility to clean the apartment.
