Overview
First Impressions
The Peaches & Cream – Soho – by Frankie Says is exactly the kind of place you’d expect to find tucked away in London’s most eclectic neighborhood. The name alone gives you a hint of what you’re in for — something playful, a bit cheeky, and definitely not your typical corporate hotel chain. When I first walked up to this four-star property, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect, but the quirky signage and that unmistakably Soho vibe had me intrigued from the start.
Location & Neighborhood
You’re literally in the heart of London‘s theater district here, which means you can stumble out of your room and find yourself surrounded by West End shows, vintage record shops, and some of the city’s best late-night spots. What I love about this location is that you’re close enough to walk to Covent Garden in about five minutes, but far enough from the tourist crowds that you actually feel like you’re experiencing the real Soho. The narrow cobblestone streets around here are packed with independent coffee shops and those tiny pubs that have been serving locals for centuries.
The Room Experience
The rooms here have this sort of boutique hotel charm that feels intentionally imperfect — and I mean that in the best way. There’s character in the details, from the vintage-inspired wallpaper to the carefully curated artwork that actually looks like someone put thought into it rather than just ordering from a hotel supply catalog. The space isn’t huge (this is central London, after all), but everything feels purposeful and well-designed for the area.
Dining & Social Spaces
The ground floor common areas have this relaxed, almost living room-like atmosphere where guests actually hang out instead of just passing through. There’s a small restaurant area that serves surprisingly good food — nothing fancy, just solid dishes that hit the spot after a long day wandering around the city. What struck me most was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood, offering recommendations that went beyond the usual tourist traps.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it doesn’t try too hard to be something it’s not. It’s got that 8.8 rating for good reason — guests appreciate the authentic Soho experience without sacrificing comfort or cleanliness. You’re staying somewhere that feels connected to the neighborhood’s creative energy, and honestly, that’s worth a lot more than marble lobbies and generic luxury touches. If you want to feel like you’re actually in London rather than just visiting it, this is the kind of place that delivers on that promise.

"Clean, fun & helpful"
Love love loved this apartment. The stylish decor and 2 big rooms. The space for our tall family of 5. Enjoyed hearing the vibrant nightlife that SoHo had to offer. Very safe with 3 automatic doors to get to the apartment. Variety of restaurants and pubs just downstairs. Very clean & included tea/coffee/hot chocolate. The Frankie team were quick to respond to any queries.

"Superb"
The location was amazing, and apartment is good and compfy. And you can find everything you need in it.
What could be improved: The following issues were minor. Only stairs are available. And the A/C units in the bed rooms are small and can barely do the job.

"Amazing place centrally located and with 5 star amenities"
It was an amazing experience. Starting from the check-in to the location, the amenities, the host response - it was all fantastic. I can’t write enough about the location - all major tourist spots and eateries are within a walking distance - it’s a buzzing place full of life and magic. Frankie thank you for making our trip a memorable one. Will highly recommend the place to anyone visiting London and is looking for a convenient and classy place. Though it’s in Soho we didn’t feel the noise from the bedrooms at all
What could be improved: Not a thing that I didn’t like

"Superb"
Location was great. I love the windows that looks out to the busy street. Many restaurants and bars right outside the door.
What could be improved: The bathroom does not have a vent so it was a steam room after a few minutes of showering. The second bedroom feels very small.

"Wonderful stay and Walking distance to anything you could think."
It was at the center of everything so very accessible, can accommodate 6 persons, 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed holding 2 persons although i booked for 6 persons, only 5 of us went so it was very nice. The Entrance always smelled good and very well lit.. The door to the apartment was also digitized so that was cool. The apartment is equipped with a microwave, mini fridge and washing machine. They offered a mid-stay cleaning option which was great however not enough trash bags were given for 9 days we stayed or enough towels to last for 9 days. They did provide us with washing pods, toilets cleaning supplies etc which did help a lot. They have an electric dryer rack so that was a plus as well as a dishwasher. TV is old fashioned so you cannot put your Netflix or even mirror any of your device but that's alright, with the entertainment of people right outside the main window, we had a lot to watch lol.. We still enjoyed the place though and had a great time, and a home to come back to every day after visiting the city. When i tell you it's quick access to everything, I'm not lying, there is everything in the area we got the apartment which was the Old Compton Street. Walking distance to main theaters,
Piccadilly Circus, Stores, Parks etc, this was the major reason why we love this building's location. We were literally 2 mins walking distance from everything in all directions.
What could be improved: A lot of people always lining up at the entrance so quite frightening when you try to put your code for the door as they are all looking. They often ask question like "what's the code, is this an airbnb or is this a secret club, can we go inside". No elevators, we were on the second level and there is up to 4 levels, so with our suitcases was quite a chaotic moment checking in and out on our first and last day since we stayed for 9 days and shopped a lot, we had quite the heavy 8 full suitcases. Once inside the apartment we did realize that it was not sound proof, you could hear everything going on outside until AM on the streets and people in the building could even hear my daughter talk while the door is shut and we were all inside. I experienced it myself when coming back one day thought, they had open the main door but my daughter was just casually talking to my mother and i could hear them. The washing machine is super noisy, vibrate the whole building while doing a load and do not dry your clothes FYI although it had the drying option. There was also a stove however it was dirty we didn't even touch it. The bathroom doesn't have enough lighting so with no windows or anything, it was pretty dark in there with dark color tiles, not the best.. Bathroom was not cleaned properly, I took a tissue and wiped the floor and it was dark whatever came out, but I believe because there is not much airflow, can't expect much..
