Location & Neighborhood

Southwark is having a moment, and this spot puts you right in the thick of it. The market below comes alive during the day with fruit vendors and little cafes, then settles into something more residential by evening. You’re a ten-minute walk to Borough Market (which gets crazy busy on weekends, fair warning) and about fifteen minutes to the Thames. The Elephant & Castle tube station is close enough, though I’ll be honest — it’s not the prettiest walk.

The Space

This four-star place feels more like staying in someone’s well-appointed flat than a traditional hotel room. The kitchen is actually functional — I mean, you could cook a proper meal here, not just heat up instant noodles. The living area has this nice mix of modern furniture with a few quirky touches that make it feel lived-in rather than sterile. The bedroom’s compact but comfortable, with decent storage space for a week-long stay.

Daily Life

What I loved most was how normal everything felt. You grab coffee from the corner shop, pick up fresh produce from the market downstairs, maybe cook dinner while watching the evening crowd thin out below. There’s something refreshing about having your own space after a day of tourist activities. The wifi actually works well (tested it thoroughly for work calls), and the shower has proper water pressure — small things that matter when you’re staying more than a night or two.

"Clean but noisy-creaky apartment"
It was clean and equipped, we did not miss anything.
What could be improved: The bed is very uncomfortable, the pillows are flat the bed creaks at every little movement which resulted in not so restful nights. We did not receive the pin for the keylock in time, and when I tried to call, the number wasn’t working. Streets are noisy because if the market, keep that in consideration. You can hear the street noise even behind closed windows.

Great location, nice small space, really well designed.
What could be improved: Fix the tap and toilet seat in the bathroom, the TV remote. Give me a small space to hang clothes and a bedside lamp. And of course WiFi, it's 2025. I want to come back and they're simple fixes

What could be improved: Second time i ha e stayed and still Batteries in tv remote flat, pans didn't work on hob, only 1 fan, no foil for grill pan, no dishwasher tablets

"Superb"
Nice apartment, clean. Has everything you need for a short stay. The WiFi worked well. The market with all the produce was interesting.
What could be improved: I struggled a bit to find the apartment house. Also, there are a bunch of key boxes so I had to try all of them until I found the right one (perhaps a sticker would help the tired traveller to quickly find the right box?) . This is not a big deal and to be fair it was dark when I got there so it didn't help with the orientation.

"Definitely recommend, loved it"
It was a really great experience, every negative thing mentioned in the reviews before our stay had already been taken care of and fixed. We stayed for two weeks and the host was very nice to contact us at the middle of our stay to offer us fresh bedding and towels. We loved the flat and would totally come back.
What could be improved: Since we had a long stay it would’ve been very helpful to have some sort of closet or something to hang our clothes however they do have a couple of shelves in the bathroom. The location on the market felt a little bit unsafe however it was great to move around, a lot of bus stops near by and a short walk to the station as well. We couldn’t find the bins outside.

"Allotjament amb molt bon preu i ben situat"
La netedad, la comoditat del llit, la bona Comunicació amb bus al centre.
What could be improved: A la cuina no hi havia cap ganivet en condicions, ni obridor de vi, just unes tisores. També estaria bé un escorreplats o un altre drap de cuina en el seu defecte, havies de triar entre escorrer els plats o aixugar-te les mans amb el drap.

Era muy luminoso y amplio. Nos gustó el detalle del té y café. La cama era cómoda. En calidad precio está bien. Estaba bastante limpio salvo por las sartenes. Recomendable si buscas un alojamiento económico. La zona es tranquila, bastante alejada del centro pero con el mercado abajo para comprar.
What could be improved: Los elementos de cocina eran escasos y algunos estaban sucios. El mando de la tele estaba roto con las pilas en mal estado.

"Ogólnie było dobrze więc polecam ale wracanie lub wychodzenie po zmroku odradzam."
Apartament bardzo ładny. Łóżko bylo wygodne, dużo udogodnień w postaci np. tostera, żelazka, suszarki lub czajnika. Blisko do przystanku autobusowego. Właściciel apartamentu bardzo miły i daje jasne wskazówki co do zameldowania i wymeldowania.
What could be improved: Okolica średnia. W dzień odbywa się targ oraz obok jest szkoła więc jest dość głośno. Po zmroku nie polecam wychodzić z apartamentu. Jako dwie kobiety delikatnie się obawiałyśmy ale nic się na szczęście nie stało.
