Overview
First Impressions
Stylish Central London Flat Near Tower Bridge sits in one of those classic Victorian mansion blocks that make London feel authentically London — you know, red brick, period features, but without the stuffiness. The building itself has character, and honestly, walking up to it feels like you’re about to stay in a proper London apartment rather than just another cookie-cutter hotel. It’s a three-star setup, but the location does most of the heavy lifting here.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about Tooley Street — it’s one of those spots where tourists don’t usually end up, but locals actually live and work. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Tower Bridge (and I mean actually close, not London-close), plus London Bridge station is right there when you need to get anywhere else. The area has that slightly gritty South London vibe that’s way more interesting than staying in some sanitized zone near Oxford Street.
The Space Itself
The flat feels like someone’s actual home, which is refreshing after staying in places that scream “rental property.” The kitchen is properly equipped — not just a mini-fridge and a kettle situation — so you can actually make breakfast or grab ingredients from Borough Market and cook something decent. The room setup works well for the price point, though don’t expect massive spaces (this is central London, after all).
Neighborhood Discoveries
What I really appreciated was being walking distance from Borough Market — honestly, it’s tourist-heavy during the day, but early morning or evening it has a completely different energy. There’s also this little cluster of proper pubs along the Thames path that most visitors miss because they’re too busy taking Tower Bridge photos. The whole Bermondsey area has been quietly becoming one of the more interesting parts of South London.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to blow you away with fancy amenities or concierge service. What it does offer is a genuine slice of London living in a spot that puts you right in the middle of things without the premium prices of staying north of the river. You get the independence of your own space, you’re surrounded by actual London rather than tourist London, and you can walk to most of the major sights along the South Bank. For travelers who want to feel like they’re staying somewhere real rather than just passing through, it actually works really well.
Savvy travelers reserve a hotel in London before spring brings blossom-lined parks, pop-up exhibitions, and warm evening strolls.

"Recommended for families who want to visit London."
The apartment is in a wonderful position to go through London as a family. You can easily walk to London Bridge station in a few minutes and from there reach any part of London with a max of 1 change of the tube.
The person who welcomed us was really kind, and did a great job to clean up the house. In a couple of minutes you are also in the southbank river where you can reach the tower bridge. That’s amazing.
Certainly a good balance between services and price.
What could be improved: The light of the bathroom didn’t work and we had to use our torch of the mobile to go during the night. We asked to fix it but it hasn’t and the last day we gave up.
This is why we didn’t give 10.

"Very good"
The location of the flat was excellent. Walking distance to Tower Bridge, Queens Walk, Boroughs Market, and many pubs. The neighborhood was quiet and the beds comfortable.
What could be improved: It is an older building. The light fixture in the hall is very pretty but hangs low for tall folks.

"Superb"
The accommodation is in an excellent location - a few metres from the bus stop and a short walk to the metro and railway. Walking distance to Tower Bridge.
The apartment is fully furnished in home style (paintings, photos, memorabilia) and perfectly adequate for a holiday base.
Handover of keys by appointment and owner's helpfulness in arranging a time to leave the accommodation.

There are 2 bedroom, 1bedroom with sofa bed n tv. Bedding are comfortable. Room so cosy with decoration. The view from both room is so nice facing the shard.
Kitchen well equipped with kitchenware, salt sugar, tea and easy for me to do basic cooking
There also washing machine and dryer and ironing facilities provided
I love the radio in kitchen most &!always turn it on while do cooking!
Location is very good as we can walk to tower bridge, hays galleria, former city hall
London bridge station also nearby around 6-7min walk. There are plenty of buses around.
Groceries such as tesco also nearby and halal food got 2-3shops nearby
What could be improved: Lift is so small can fit 3-4 people only. Need to climb stairs a bit before going to lift

"Cozy, like spending at a friend's house"
We really liked the location, the ease of getting in and out, the proximity to groceries stores. Particularly of the apartment, the independence of the inhabitants, ideal for a family of 4. All appliances work perfectly and for those who like to cook, it has all the elements to do it at home.
What could be improved: The beds are not very comfortable, particularly the one in the master bedroom. This is intended to be a constructive comment, it is nothing that would not happen to us at a friend's house when we ask for an extra room to spend a couple of nights. It does not affect at all the fabulous experience that we were allowed to have in London.

"Felt like home."
We loved looking at all the interesting pictures and books. It felt like visiting a friend. Likewise, the kitchen was so well stocked with basic ingredients that we never worried about running out of anything. The bedroom was good too because we could get out of both sides of the double bed, which is unusual in a London flat of this price. Above all, though, the view of the Shard from the front window was stunning! Oh and the location was brilliant. We found everything we needed on Tooley Street.
What could be improved: We liked everything.

"Pleasant"
Location very good. Close to train station
What could be improved: Beds very uncomfortable - not a double bed just 2 singles pushed together thay weren't even the same height. Shower was terrible. Worst shower I've ever had..and nearly fell in bath tub. Windows are hard to open. Dryer frustrating to use/operate.

"One of the worst travel experiences on record—dirty, rodent droppings, dishes stained,"
Location
What could be improved: Complete non responsive from the management company. Owner could not wait 15 minutes for us to arrive so we were on no our own..another resident in the building helped us get in. The lock was problematic. There were animal droppings, dirty dishes, mold, counters had food stuck, dish towels had not been washed, sponge was filthy.
