Overview
First Impressions
When I first spotted Stylish 1 bedroom in Covent Garden with terrace tucked away on Shorts Gardens, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone. But stepping inside this apartment, you immediately get why they went with “stylish” — it’s one of those places that feels carefully put together without trying too hard. The space has this modern edge that works perfectly with the historic London surroundings, and that private terrace? Well, that’s where things get interesting.
Location & Neighborhood
Shorts Gardens is actually one of those little streets that most tourists walk right past, but locals know it’s gold. You’re literally a two-minute stroll from the chaos of Covent Garden Market, but somehow this corner feels quieter, more residential. I mean, you can duck out for morning coffee at Monmouth (the queue’s always worth it) or grab dinner at Dishoom, then come back to your own little slice of central London. The Neal’s Yard area is right there too — you know, that colorful courtyard everyone photographs.
The Space
What really got me about this three-star place was how they maximized every inch without making it feel cramped. The bedroom’s got proper storage, which is rare for central London, and the living area flows nicely into a compact but functional kitchen. Everything you need is there — decent appliances, enough counter space to actually cook if you want to skip the restaurant scene for a night. The whole place feels more like a friend’s flat than a typical hotel room.
That Terrace Though
Honestly, the outdoor space is what sets this apart from your standard London accommodation. It’s not huge, but it’s private and gets good light during the day. I found myself having morning coffee out there, and it’s surprisingly peaceful given you’re smack in the middle of everything. You can actually hear the street musicians from Covent Garden drifting over, but it’s not overwhelming. Perfect for evening wine after a day of wandering around the city.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t about fancy amenities or room service — there’s no spa or concierge desk. What you get is independence in one of London’s best neighborhoods, with enough space to actually unpack and settle in. The 8.5 rating makes sense when you consider the location, the thoughtful design, and that terrace advantage. If you’re the type who wants to live like a Londoner for a few days rather than just visit, this place delivers on that front.

"Your home away from home? - Here it is!"
If you love London, and being in London, and taking part in the life of a fantastic neighbourhood, this is the place to go!
Incredibly spacious, well equipped, nicely furnished, graced with a very comfy bed and with an unconventional but seriously cool layout - this apartment offers it all, and what’s more, it belongs to an excellent landlord.
We will be back, and we are looking forward to it!
What could be improved: We were well aware that there are a few stairs to climb, so probably not ideal for people with a walking impediment.
But again, we knew that!
All the rest was just 👍🏼

"Simple, chilled and relaxed stay at the heart of London"
Location, convenience, simplicity
What could be improved: Well the stairs, but we knew about it. Was good workout!

"It was very cute, washer didn’t work but overall we had a blast."
It was beautiful and very close to activities.
What could be improved: The stairs were a bit much just to get to the door and then once in the door, more stairs.
An older couple would struggle with the stairs.

"A Dream Stay in the Heart of Covent Garden"
This was by far the best accommodation we’ve ever stayed in – truly fantastic! The apartment was beautiful, bright, and perfectly located right in the heart of Covent Garden. It had everything we could possibly wish for, and we felt genuinely welcomed with a lovely personal greeting and clear instructions on how everything worked.
From the very first contact, communication was smooth, and professional, which made everything feel easy and welcoming. Just across the street, there’s a vibrant food market and plenty of charming cafés, shops, and restaurants – the area has so much to offer!
The only thing to note is that there is no lift, which might be a challenge for those with mobility issues or heavy luggage. It didn’t bother us at all, but it’s good to know.
We’re already planning our return – highly recommended in every way!

"Fabulous stay, great location, great view, everything we needed. Will hope to be back!"
Fabulous location and everything you could want in the kitchen
What could be improved: A bit difficult to shower without getting everything wet

"Chic and in the best location, yet quiet and cosy."
Very stylish and in the best location we’ve ever stayed in in London. In the heart of Covent Garden and right opposite a foody market. You wouldn’t think you’re right in the heart of London though, as it’s so quiet.
What could be improved: The stairs to the property and the front door is quite difficult to open.

"Amazing Apartment in Covent Garden"
The apartment is fantastic, well furnished, comfortable and with all the equipment you need for your stay. The location is ideal right in Covent Garden. Sole managed it and was a delight to deal with and she made sure we were comfortable and settled in on arrival. The shower room is great with excellent pressure. We had a great stay and would highly recommend this apartment.
What could be improved: Nothing negative to say.

"Superb"
Great place. I'd stay there again. Great terrace, great location, spaceous kitchen / living room.
What could be improved: No light in bathroom for shaving. Cramped bathroom. Generally lots of lightbulbs not working.

"Overpriced and Misleading Information"
What could be improved: Overpriced and Misleading Information
The apartment we stayed in is in a great location, which was definitely a plus. However, the price did not match what we received during our stay. The apartment is located on the fourth floor or higher, and the only access is through narrow, spiral stairs. Climbing to the apartment was very difficult and felt unsafe, especially with luggage. Unfortunately, this important detail was not mentioned in the listing, which we believe is misleading. Such information should be clearly shared with potential guests.
In addition, the price felt too high for what was provided. Basic items like toilet paper were not included for a five-night stay, and we had to purchase them ourselves. There was also no option to store our luggage on the day we checked out, which was inconvenient.
While the location was excellent, the overall experience left us disappointed. The narrow stairs are a safety concern, and the lack of transparency and value for money make it hard to recommend this apartment.
