Soho Suites by Indigo Flats
First Impressions
Walking up to Soho Suites by Indigo Flats on Ingestre Place, you immediately get that “I’m in the heart of it all” feeling. The building itself has this understated charm — nothing too flashy, but you can tell it’s been thoughtfully renovated. What struck me first was how quiet this little street feels despite being literally steps from Oxford Street’s chaos.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, the location is pretty brilliant. You’re tucked away on this peaceful side street in London‘s Soho, but within a two-minute walk you’ve got Tottenham Court Road station, Oxford Circus, and all those winding streets full of pubs and theaters. I mean, you can stumble out for dim sum on Gerrard Street or catch a late show in the West End without any planning. The Fitzrovia border is right there too, which gives you access to some really good gastropubs that tourists don’t usually find.
The Suites
The apartment-style setup is what really sets this four-star place apart from typical hotel rooms. Each unit has a proper kitchenette — not just a mini-fridge and kettle situation, but actual cooking space with a stovetop and decent-sized fridge. The living areas feel genuinely livable, not like a hotel room trying to pretend it’s something else. Storage is surprisingly generous too, which matters when you’re staying longer than a weekend.
Daily Life Here
What I loved was how the place feels residential rather than hotel-ish. There’s no bustling lobby scene or formal front desk drama — just a straightforward check-in process and then you’re basically living like a local. The parking situation is… well, it’s central London, so forget driving unless you absolutely must. But the Tube connections are so good that you won’t miss having a car. I actually enjoyed the morning routine of walking to that excellent coffee shop on Charlotte Street before heading out for the day.
Why Guests Love It
The real appeal here is independence without isolation. You get your own space to spread out, cook breakfast, or just decompress after long days of sightseeing, but you’re still in the thick of everything that makes Soho exciting. The staff keeps a low profile but they’re helpful when you need them — it strikes that perfect balance between service and privacy. For the price point in this area, especially considering you’re getting apartment-style space rather than a cramped hotel room, it’s actually quite reasonable for central London standards.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
