Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Imperial Queensborough Terrace feels a bit like discovering a well-kept secret tucked away on one of those classic London crescents. The Georgian facade doesn’t scream “look at me” — it’s more of a quiet confidence that fits right into the Bayswater streetscape. You know what strikes you first? It’s actually how the building manages to feel both historic and welcoming without trying too hard.
Prime Bayswater Positioning
The location is honestly brilliant if you want to feel like a local rather than just another tourist. You’re a stone’s throw from Hyde Park — I mean, literally two minutes to Speaker’s Corner — and London‘s pulse feels manageable from here. The Queensway tube station is close enough that you don’t need to plan your day around transport, but you’re far enough from the Oxford Street chaos to actually relax. Plus, there’s something charming about the mix of international restaurants and local pubs that dot this corner of Westminster Borough.
The Accommodations
The room I stayed in had that particular London hotel character — not massive, but cleverly designed with period touches that actually work. The furnishings strike a nice balance between traditional and functional, though honestly, the real win is the attention to detail in the fabrics and lighting. What impressed me was how they’ve managed to fit modern amenities into what’s clearly a heritage building without it feeling forced or awkward.
Dining and Daily Rhythms
The breakfast setup gives you options without overwhelming you — continental spread with some proper English touches when you’re in the mood. The restaurant space has this relaxed atmosphere where you can actually have a conversation, which is rarer than you’d think in central London hotels. I found myself lingering over coffee more than once, watching the Queensborough Terrace morning routine unfold outside the windows.
Why Guests Love It
This four-star property gets the fundamentals right without any pretense about being something it’s not. The staff seem to genuinely know the neighborhood — they’ll point you toward the good curry house on Westbourne Grove or suggest which entrance to use for Kensington Gardens depending on what you want to see. It’s the kind of place where you settle in quickly, partly because the building has this lived-in comfort that makes you feel less like a guest and more like a temporary resident. For travelers who want London accessibility with a bit of breathing room, Imperial Queensborough Terrace delivers exactly what it promises.

"Nice cosy appartment flat in an excellent location!"
Excellent location, close to two tube stations and main attractions within short travelling distance. Shops and supermarkets are round the corner. The appartment flat is not huge but well laid out and on a fairly quiet street. The appartement has all the facilities (kitchen with cooling facilities, fridge with freezer, pots and pans, microwave, kettle and coffee machine, washing machine and washing line, hairdryer, iron, etc.) you need for a short or longer stay. There are towels and toilet paper and some other basics at hand upon arrival. And a bonus with the warm weather we had during our stay, there were two big fans to keep us cool :-)
The communication was smooth and we got quick replies whenever we had a question. There is no lockerbox for the keys or an actual handover of the keys, you have to pick them up around the corner at a shop (not even) 5 minutes walk from the appartment.
We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again next time!
What could be improved: The shower could do with a thermostat handle, we had to wait a long time for warm water and the tap goes hot and cold all the time whilst you trying to regulate it.

"Great apartment next to Hyde Park"
The apartment is very well located, on a quiet street but very central. Was very clean and well looked after.

"A good stay for a short visit to London."
The location was great, this is the second time we have stayed in this area and we really enjoy it.
The apartment itself was spacious, and well appointed.
What could be improved: The bathroom, was quite small and having the bath in it made it more difficult to shower. The extractor fan also was not working so the bathroom became very wet with condensation.
The lighting is a bit bizarre with lots of lights and switches in rather odd places.

"Pleasant"
Good location and had everything we needed
What could be improved: Hot water wasn’t working in the shower and after speaking to the hosts multiple times to try fix it we still couldn’t get it to work, we were out of the apartment a lot and didn’t have the time to content be messaging about it. I put a complaint in when our stay was finished and they claimed that the hot water was working after inspecting it when we left. There was 4 of us staying and it was easy to see what was what so felt like we were told that we were lying that it wasn’t working. I was told to send “proof” after we’d already left. I had asked for a partial refund as to which they kept telling me that it was working on inspection after us leaving but that makes no difference to fact that it was not working when we stayed there and I proceeded to ask to speak to the manager where the same guy messaged back to let us know he will give us a refund but only if I didn’t write a bad review on it. It’s not about writing a bad review but I think it’s important to let others know our experience. I’m sure other guests will have stayed here since and the boiler I’m sure will be working

"Very good"
the owner of the house was always very kind to us and helped us when it was time to check in at an unusual time. In addition, the location of the apartment is very good.
What could be improved: It would be interesting if you could install a thermostatic faucet in the shower because it is very complicated to adjust the hot water with the current faucet. In addition, the window in the main room does not close properly and the cold outside is leaking in.

"Pleasant"
Quiet place, working radiators first time in London in the last 17 years which I couldn't believe and it was perfect feeling when is cold outside and your property is warm!! Washing machine with dryer is putting the property on the next level.
What could be improved: For someone who lives in England is the property surely excellent, but for someone who lives in Scandinavian country and know the quality is very very low standard. You are constantly afraid what is going to be damaged next because of the lack of quality work and products.

Good location.
What could be improved: Dirty sheets upon arrival (stains, hair). Changed the sheets - got charged for damage. Got 2 toilet paper rolls for a 4 night stay - also got chared for damage as it was reserved for future guests. Use of additional towels, bath mat, duvets, pillowcases and tea towel (some of it which were inside the bed, and nowhere was said it’s prohobited tu use it) - got charged.

"Lovely and well equipped apartment for a comfortable stay"
Beautiful bright, clean and well equipped apartment close to tube stations, cafes and supermarkets. The apartment is also quiet, the double bedroom was comfortable and so was the sofa bed in the living room. I would definitely stay here again.
What could be improved: The kitchen was well equipped but there was no salt, nor pepper, which is a minor issue really, but still a slight inconvenience.

"Not a good experience but position good"
Location for the property excellent. At end of road Kensington Gardens and a Hop on Hop off Bus bus stop and numerous eateries.,shops etc.
What could be improved: Getting into property a nightmare. After 20 hours of travelling found upon arrival we couldn’t get in and rang phone number listed. Was told you had to pickup keys from a shop elsewhere and that instructions had been emailed. We had trouble accessing our emails and had no idea but please note the instructions had been sent at 3.00pm the check in time when we were already there. We explained to the person on the phone our travelling time and being on foot with our luggage etc and that we were not happy with the key retrieval instructions with such short notice to go and now obtain them. We were then given a code for a key lock box on porch for a key ! (Use this method please better for travellers)
Found apartment a little bit of a let down. Bathroom standing area no bigger than a phone box but clean. Other issues but grading for property should be lower.
