Roomy Bliss – Your Home Away
First Impressions
Roomy Bliss – Your Home Away sits on a tree-lined stretch of North End Road that honestly feels more residential than touristy — which is exactly what makes it work. The building itself has that classic West London charm, and when you walk in, it’s clear they’ve put thought into making this feel like an actual home rather than just another hotel. You know what struck me most? The lobby doesn’t try too hard, but everything feels purposeful and welcoming.
Location & Neighborhood
Hammersmith and Fulham might not be the first area that comes to mind when you think London, but that’s actually a good thing. You’re close enough to everything that matters — the District line gets you to central London in about 20 minutes — but you’re also in a proper neighborhood where locals actually live. There’s a brilliant little market just down the road, and I mean proper food stalls and butchers, not tourist stuff. The area feels authentic in a way that’s getting harder to find in London.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was genuinely spacious by London standards, which explains the name I suppose. What I loved was how they’ve managed to create separate zones — there’s a sitting area that doesn’t feel cramped, and the bed area actually has room to walk around. The kitchenette is small but functional, with everything you’d actually use rather than just for show. The bathroom was modern without being sterile, and honestly, the water pressure was better than my flat back home.
Service & Amenities
This four-star place gets the balance right between being helpful and not hovering. The staff seem to actually know the neighborhood — when I asked about good pubs nearby, the desk clerk gave me three specific recommendations that were all spot-on. There’s no fancy spa or grand restaurant, but they do a decent continental breakfast, and the common areas have this relaxed vibe where you can actually work or read without feeling like you’re in someone’s way. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout, which matters more than most places admit.
Why Guests Love It
Look, if you want marble lobbies and doormen in top hats, this isn’t your place. But if you want to feel like you’re staying somewhere that gets what travelers actually need — space to breathe, a proper local neighborhood, and staff who treat you like a person rather than a room number — then Roomy Bliss delivers. The 8.4 rating makes sense when you consider they’re not trying to be everything to everyone. They’ve figured out their lane and they stick to it well. Plus, there’s decent parking if you’re driving, which is rarer than you’d think in this part of London.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
