Modern 2-Bed Riverside Apartment in Greenwich
First Impressions
When I first walked into Modern 2-Bed Riverside Apartment in Greenwich, honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from what sounded like just another four-star rental. But you know what? This place completely changed my mind about serviced apartments in London. The floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Thames immediately caught my attention — there’s something about that river view that just makes you stop and stare for a minute.
Location & Thames Views
Mast Quay sits right on the water in Greenwich, and I mean literally on the Thames. You’re watching boats drift by while having your morning coffee, which beats staring at another brick wall any day. The area’s got this interesting mix — it’s peaceful enough that you forget you’re in London, but the DLR station is practically next door when you need to get into the city center. Actually, I found myself walking along the Thames Path more than taking transport because the riverside walk is just too good to miss.
The Apartment Setup
The apartment itself feels properly modern without being sterile — someone clearly thought about how people actually live. The main room flows nicely into the kitchen, which has everything you’d need if you’re staying more than a night or two. I particularly appreciated the washer-dryer combo because, let’s face it, packing light means doing laundry at some point. The bedrooms are both decent sized, and the master gets the better Thames view, obviously.
Greenwich Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about staying in Greenwich — it’s got proper character that you just don’t find in central London anymore. The Maritime Museum and Cutty Sark are right there if you’re into that sort of thing, but I spent most of my time just wandering through Greenwich Market and up to the Observatory. The hill climb’s a bit of a workout, but the view over London from up there is worth every step. Plus, there’s something satisfying about standing on the Prime Meridian line, even if it’s totally touristy.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t some fancy hotel with a concierge and room service, but that’s actually what makes it work so well. You get the space to spread out properly — two bedrooms mean you’re not living on top of each other if you’re traveling with family or friends. The Thames location gives you those “I’m actually in London” moments without the crowds and noise of staying somewhere like Covent Garden. And honestly, waking up to river views instead of another building’s windows? That alone makes this place worth considering, especially with Greenwich’s village-like feel that somehow exists right in London.
