Location & Neighborhood

You’re basically in the sweet spot between King’s Cross and Camden — I mean, you can walk to either in about ten minutes. King’s Cross St. Pancras station is ridiculously close, which makes getting around London super easy. The neighborhood has this nice mix of local cafes and proper pubs, plus you’ve got Camden Market just up the road when you want to dive into the chaos.

The Space

What I actually loved about this place is how it feels like a real flat, not some corporate extended-stay situation. The kitchen is properly equipped — you know, actual cooking equipment, not just a kettle and microwave. There’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase, and the decor is that modern-but-warm style that photographs well but also feels comfortable to actually live in for a few days.

Practical Details

The Wi-Fi works well (tested it on video calls), and there’s decent storage space for your things. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area — it’s London, after all — but the transport links are so good that you probably won’t need a car anyway. The flat stays pretty quiet considering you’re on a main road, though you’ll definitely know you’re in the city.

What could be improved: Not forewarned of 46 narrow stairs to reach the apartment...challenging with heavy luggage. No toilet paper! Shower stuck on v hot...almost scalding, couldn't adjust to any cooler and so couldn't then use in very hot weather.

"A horrendous, unfortunate and unpleasant stay"

What could be improved: The website by Booking.com nor the host of the property had not stated that the guest will have to climb 46 narrow steep winding steps to get to the Apartment. We had unfortunately booked for 8 days and paid £1736/44 in advance actually almost two weeks in advance. This experience ruined our holiday in London. We had to climb up and down 46 steps each time we went out and returned which is multiple times when on holiday needless to say. I would never recommend this apartment even to young people or a family. I have twisted my wrist by carrying my suitcase up and also bringing it down 46 winding steep stairs for which I had to get treatment upon my return. We checked out 4 days in advance and requested for a refund from both Booking. Com and host. Host refused. I am still awaiting Booking.com to respond. We are extremely disappointed with Booking.com and the Host. Also checking in was a nightmare. Conversely we booked through AirBnb in another country in Europe prior to coming to London which was seamless and exceptional.

Quand on rentre dans l'appartement ,On a découvert un appartement rénové, propre avec une décoration moderne et colorée. Ce qui m'a plu, c'était la mise à disposition de livres historiques sur Londres. Il y a une belle cuisine équipée, petite salle de bain et la chambre avec une literie confortable. J'ai dormi dans le canapé lit qui est aussi confortable. L'appartement est calme. On entend à peine les voisins qui rentrent ou qui sortent. Il y a une télévision, Wi-Fi et Netflix. L'appartement est bien situé près de pleins de restaurants, à 10 minutes à pied de la gare St-Pancras international et du métro. Il y a un bus aussi à 5 minutes à pied.
What could be improved: En arrivant le premier jour, Je n'avais pas reçu les codes. J'ai dû téléphoner plusieurs fois pendant 20 minutes pour que la propriétaire me réponde. Elle m'a envoyé les codes sur le site de Booking.com. J'ai eu très peur que c'était une arnaque car la façade de l'immeuble semblait abandonnée. Autre problème: L'eau de la douche était froide , j'ai dû envoyer un email pour que la propriétaire envoie un technicien. Il y a eu aussi un problème pour ouvrir la porte de la douche. Ma fille n'arrivait pas à l'ouvrir et elle a paniqué. Pas de possibilité de bagagerie. et l'entrée à 16h le premier jour, c'est tardif. Nous avions été le premier week-end de juillet et avec la manifestation LQGTB, toutes les consignes étaient occupées.

"Prima plek voor stedentrip, heeft wat onderhoud en aandacht nodig voor de details."
Locatie is centraal gelegen, vlak bij internationaal treinstation en metro. In de directe omgeving restaurants. Het appartement is voldoende ruim, met sleutelkast goed bereikbaar. De communicatie met de host verliep prima. De keuken is voldoende, met alle apparatuur. Prima tweepersoonsbed, voldoende ruime badkamer.
What could be improved: De inrichting is wat verouderd, bijvoorbeeld oude stoelen. De bedbank is ongeschikt als slaapplaats voor volwassenen. Douche wordt niet heet, blijft lauw water geven.
