But don’t let that fool you, because this four-star gem surprised me in the best way possible. The building has this understated elegance that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something locals know about but tourists haven’t caught onto yet.

Here’s what I love about this place — you’re getting an apartment, not just a hotel room. Each unit comes with a proper kitchenette, which honestly saved me a fortune during my stay. I mean, London prices can be brutal, so being able to grab groceries from the nearby Sainsbury’s and cook breakfast was brilliant. The apartments are spacious too, with separate living areas that actually feel like home rather than a cramped hotel space.

Location Reality Check

Look, Lewisham isn’t Covent Garden, but that’s exactly why this works. You’re about 15 minutes by train to central London — the Hither Green station is a short walk away and connects you straight into London Bridge. What you lose in trendy neighborhood vibes, you gain in authentic London living and significantly lower prices. Plus, there’s decent parking here, which anyone who’s tried to park in Zone 1 will appreciate.

Food and Dining

The on-site restaurant serves solid British fare — nothing revolutionary, but comforting after a long day exploring the city. What I found more interesting was the local food scene around here. There’s this fantastic Turkish place down the road that locals queue up for, and a proper old-school pub that does Sunday roasts better than most places in tourist-heavy areas. Having that kitchen means you can explore Borough Market (easy train ride) and bring back amazing ingredients to experiment with.

"Place run extremely efficiently and perfect as a self catering stay"
The woman who runs this place is excellent. She runs a tight ship and the place is clean and welcoming. She showed me where I could park, which was in the nearby car shop's car park as their two spaces were taken and she was very kind and warned me to be careful in locking my car to be on the safe side. A lovely big, warm room with kitchen facilities and a decent shower. I was impressed.
What could be improved: Maybe just be a little less frugal with the teabags! I genuinely don't think giving me just 2 teabags for a 2 night stay was enough! Apart from that nothing bad to say!

We had a really great time in London. One of the success factors was the perfect accommodation and hotel services provided to us. Everything was perfect and met our expectations. The mattress on the bed and sofa bed respectively was comfortable and we slept well. All the facilities in the kitchen were fully functional and the room was keeping clean. Hotel is located in a quiet locality and not far away from the City center (20 mins by train). We enjoyed our visit and if we decide to travel again, we will definitely consider returning.

The hotel is well equipped and has hospitable hosts. Also, the connection with London Centre is super convenient when you use southeastern train.
