Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked into Ground-Floor Entire Apartment 1-Bedroom 1-Living Room & Private Garden, honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from the name alone — it sounds more like a property listing than a place you’d get excited about. But you know what? Sometimes the most straightforward names hide the best surprises. This four-star gem sits right on Roman Road in Tower Hamlets, and the moment you step through that front door, you realize you’ve found something special.
The Space That Works
The apartment feels like staying at a friend’s place — if your friend happened to have impeccable taste and knew exactly what travelers actually need. The living room opens up beautifully, with enough space to actually spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. I mean, when you’re used to hotel rooms where you can barely open your suitcase, having a proper living area changes everything. The bedroom’s tucked away nicely too, so if you’re traveling with someone, you’re not stepping over each other constantly.
Location & Getting Around
Roman Road might not be the first area tourists think of, but that’s actually what makes it work so well. You’re in real London here — the kind where locals do their shopping and grab coffee without dodging crowds of sightseers every five minutes. The area’s got this authentic East London vibe that’s hard to find in the more obvious neighborhoods. Plus, you can get into central London easily enough when you want the big attractions.
The Private Garden
Here’s the thing that really sold me — that private garden they mention isn’t just a tiny patio with a sad plant. It’s actually a proper outdoor space where you can sit with your morning coffee or unwind after a day of exploring. Having your own bit of green space in London feels like such a rare treat, especially when you’re staying ground-floor and can just step right out. I spent more time out there than I expected, just enjoying the quiet.
Why Guests Love It
With a 9.4 rating, you can tell this place consistently hits the mark, and I get why. It’s the kind of accommodation that makes you feel settled rather than just passing through. The owner clearly understands what people actually want — space to breathe, a proper setup for longer stays, and that sense of having your own temporary London home. Whether you’re here for a few days or planning a longer visit, this apartment gives you room to actually live, not just sleep and shower.

"Perfect for what I needed!"
The host was friendly and greeted me in due to it being a door in the middle of a busy street, and showed me round the apartment. Very short walk to shops and the bus stop I needed to get to QMUL. The apartment was spotless and had a everything I needed for my short stay - lots of things to use in the kitchen such as oil, salt/pepper, coffee/sugar/tea and shower gel, as I had actually forgot this! The little outdoor space was a total bonus.
Can’t fault it at all, fab stay and felt very safe as a solo female traveller unfamiliar with London.
What could be improved: Nothing.

"Superb"
Host. Rizwan was lovely, helpful.
Bedroom. Kitchen. Bathroom. All good. The little garden space a bonus too.
Location. Not for everyone. But if you want a place where people live and work and there are local cafes and shops yet still half an hour away from the centre this is good. Price is great probably best for a couple and a single who don't mind walking a little bit here and there. The early check in and early check out suited us too. I'd stay again no problem
What could be improved: Absolutely nothing. If I was to really think, it's not right for those that don't like a walk to the tube or train. But if you're happy bussing or cabbing go for it
But really, this is a great place to stay

"All in all, it felt like a home away from home, and I’d definitely recommend it."
I recently stayed at here, and it was a genuinely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the host Mr. Rizwan, was incredibly helpful.
especially when I needed some assistance with my credit card and SIM card, he made everything easy and were just so warm and welcoming.
The place itself had a very homey vibe, super clean, cozy, and equipped with everything you’d need. The backyard garden was lovely, and a nice little retreat. Plus, they even had a shattaf in the bathroom, which I know a lot of Arab or Muslim travelers will really appreciate 👏🏻
What could be improved: There was nothing to not like.

"Excellent stay with great hosts in quiet apartment."
Hosts were excellent and welcoming. - asked us on more than one occasion if there was anything we needed. Area was almost silent at night which was unbelievable considering how close to central London. Can’t state how impressed I was with facilities. Huge TV , plenty of space to relax in front room and bed was comfy and cosy. Will definitely be staying here again. Many many thanks to the owners!!
What could be improved: Nothing!
