Limehome London Streatham High Rd
First Impressions
Walking up to Limehome London Streatham High Rd for the first time, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this four-star serviced apartment property. The building sits right on the busy high street, which initially had me wondering about noise levels, but honestly — it turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises where the urban energy actually adds to the experience rather than detracting from it.
The Space
These aren’t your typical hotel rooms, and that’s exactly the point. Each unit feels like a proper London flat that someone’s put real thought into designing. The kitchen setup impressed me most — it’s not some token kitchenette with a broken microwave, but actually functional space where you could cook a decent meal if you wanted to. The living area flows naturally into the sleeping space, and there’s enough room to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped, which you know how rare that is in London.
Location & Getting Around
Streatham gets overlooked by a lot of visitors, but I think that’s a mistake. You’re about 20 minutes from central London by train, and Streatham Common station is a quick walk away. The high road itself has this great mix of Caribbean food shops, traditional pubs, and coffee places that feel authentically local rather than touristy. I mean, you won’t find crowds of people with cameras here, which some travelers actually prefer.
Practical Details
The self-check-in system works smoothly — no standing around waiting for reception staff. Everything’s handled through your phone, which felt weird at first but actually makes sense when you just want to get in and settle. The building stays quiet despite being on a main road, and I appreciated having proper blackout curtains for sleeping in. Parking can be tricky on the street, but there are options nearby if you’re driving.
Why Guests Love It
What really works here is the independence factor. You get the space and freedom of having your own place, but with the reliability and cleanliness standards of a proper hotel. It’s particularly good for longer stays — I stayed four nights and by the end felt like I had my own little London base rather than just passing through. The 8.1 rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting significantly more space than a traditional hotel room would offer in this price range.
