Hyatt Regency London Stratford
First Impressions
The Hyatt Regency London Stratford sits right in the heart of what used to be the 2012 Olympics site, and honestly, you can still feel that energy buzzing around the place. This four-star property has this sleek, modern vibe that works perfectly with the whole regenerated Stratford area — it’s like staying in London’s newest neighborhood that actually feels exciting rather than sterile.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about staying here — Westfield Stratford City is literally a two-minute walk away, which means you’ve got every shop and restaurant you could want right there. But the real winner is the transport links; Stratford station is so close you’ll barely break a sweat, and from there you’re looking at maybe 15 minutes to central London on the Jubilee line. The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is right on your doorstep too, which makes for lovely morning runs if that’s your thing.
The Room Experience
My room had floor-to-ceiling windows that gave me this amazing view over the park — I mean, you’re basically looking out at where Usain Bolt broke world records, which is pretty cool when you think about it. The space itself feels contemporary and well-thought-out, with those little touches that make a difference after a long day of sightseeing. The beds are properly comfortable (you know how hotel beds can be hit or miss), and there’s decent workspace if you need to catch up on emails.
Amenities & Atmosphere
The fitness center here is actually worth using — it’s got modern equipment and stays open late, which works well if you’re dealing with jet lag. There’s also this relaxed bar area where locals seem to hang out too, not just hotel guests, which gives the place a more authentic feel. The parking situation is sorted if you’re driving, though honestly, with the transport links here, you probably won’t need a car for most of your London adventures.
Why Guests Love It
What strikes me about the Hyatt Regency London Stratford is how it manages to feel both polished and unpretentious — you get solid service without any stuffiness. The staff seem to genuinely know the area well, so they’ll point you toward the good coffee spots or tell you which way to walk through the Olympic Park. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re staying somewhere that matters to the neighborhood, not just dropping into another anonymous hotel tower.
