Overview
First Impressions
Lovely 1-bedroom flat in Chelsea sits on one of those tree-lined streets that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into a proper London postcard. Honestly, Oakley Street has this quiet residential charm that’s hard to find in central London these days — you’re literally a stone’s throw from the Thames, but it feels wonderfully tucked away from the tourist crowds.
The Space
This four-star apartment actually feels more spacious than you’d expect for Chelsea, which is saying something given London property sizes. The room has that perfect balance of period character and modern comfort — high ceilings, decent natural light, and furnishings that don’t look like they came from a hotel catalog. The kitchen is compact but functional, which I appreciated since grabbing breakfast or a quick bite in Chelsea can get pricey fast.
Location Perks
What I love about this spot is how it puts you right in the heart of one of London’s most elegant neighborhoods without the Sloane Square chaos. You’re a five-minute walk to the King’s Road for shopping and people-watching, but when you want quiet, the street itself is surprisingly peaceful. The Thames path is literally around the corner — perfect for morning runs or evening strolls along the river.
Neighborhood Know-How
Here’s what locals know: the Waitrose on King’s Road is your friend for groceries, and honestly, the little cafés tucked away on the side streets serve better coffee than the touristy spots. If you’re into pubs, The Chelsea Potter is a proper local joint that doesn’t feel like it’s trying too hard. The area gets you to Victoria Station in about 15 minutes by bus, which makes day trips or airport runs pretty straightforward.
Why Guests Love It
I think what makes this place work is that it feels like staying in an actual London neighborhood rather than just visiting one. You get that residential Chelsea experience — walking past the colorful townhouses, dodging the occasional dog walker, hearing church bells on Sunday morning. The 8.6 rating makes sense because it delivers exactly what it promises: a proper London flat in one of the city’s most desirable postcodes, without any pretense or hidden surprises.
To book hotel in London for fashion week buzz, travelers reserve early to pair Westminster sunrise walks with evening pub rituals.

"Great stylish stay in the heart of Chelsea!"
The perfect London bolt hole for a short stay.
Location is super, being just off Kings Rd in Chelsea (between the fire station and Battersea bridge).
Very well styled property and it was lovely to come home to, after a day of soaking up London in the Summer. So pretty and comfortable with great furniture and furnishings. And the carpet is wildly cool!
What could be improved: The kitchen / bathroom area is cleverly designed, but compact. The bathroom needs a little tlc but overall very clever use of space. (Tip : if you are looking for the laundry it is in the touch cupboard under the stairs)

"Great location"
Great location. The aptartment itself is very clean and comfortable. The hot water and heaters worked well. Quite equipped kitchen.
What could be improved: The apartment is in an old building, therefore, if there were guests lived in the upstair flat, the voices could be heard very clearly before they went to sleep.
Even if there were no guests lived in the upstair flat, the neighbors made loud noises around 6-8am on weekdays, and around 8-10am at the weekend.
The last thing is, no sheer curtains in the living room.

"Great option for a London stay"
Excellent communication with Ruth. Apartment was spotless and comfortable for a couple. Location offered flexible transport options - bus, train & bonus river boat. Lots of local eating options but facilities to eat in as well.
What could be improved: Unfortunately there were very noisy guests in the upstairs flat who woke us constantly during the nights they were there. I’m assuming there’s nothing you could do to avoid the possibility of that situation occurring.

"Would highly recommend ! Definetly will return. Great location . Wonderful host."
The apartment’s location is fantastic. Kings Road with all its shops and nice restaurants is right behind the corner. The apartment itself is very cosy, clean and comfortable. The host kindly let me check in earlier which was very nice of her and very helpful. Really enjoyed the stay. Looking forward to return.
What could be improved: The only little thing I would say will be good to add is a sheer curtains in the living room which you can close during the day without blocking the light completely with the blackouts ,as the apartment is on the ground floor.
