Holland Park Residence
First Impressions
Walking up to Holland Park Residence on Royal Crescent feels like stepping into one of those London postcards you see everywhere — except this time, you actually get to stay inside one of these gorgeous Georgian buildings. The white stucco facade and those classic black railings immediately tell you you’re in proper Kensington territory, and honestly, the four-star rating doesn’t quite capture how refined this place actually feels.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re literally a two-minute walk from Holland Park itself, which means you can grab your morning coffee and wander through those Japanese gardens before the tour groups arrive. London can feel overwhelming sometimes, but this little corner of Kensington and Chelsea strikes that perfect balance — you’ve got the Tube connections you need (Holland Park station is right there), but you’re tucked away from the chaos of Oxford Street and all that madness.
The Space
These aren’t your typical hotel rooms — they’re actually serviced apartments, which means you get a proper kitchen and enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. Each apartment has this lovely mix of period features and modern touches that work really well together. The tall windows let in tons of natural light, and you can actually see some greenery from most units, which is pretty rare in central London.
Practical Matters
The kitchenette setup is genuinely useful — not just a mini-fridge and kettle situation, but actual cooking facilities if you want to grab some groceries from Waitrose down the road. There’s no on-site restaurant, but given you’re surrounded by some of London’s best dining (and those kitchen facilities), it’s really not an issue. The 9.7 rating makes total sense when you factor in how responsive the staff are and how well-maintained everything is.
Why Guests Love It
I mean, it comes down to feeling like you’re living in London rather than just visiting it. You’re in a proper residential neighborhood where locals actually walk their dogs and pop into the corner shops, but you’re still fifteen minutes from Notting Hill Gate or a quick bus ride to Harrods. The combination of space, location, and that Georgian charm is pretty hard to beat — especially when you realize you’re paying significantly less than you would for a cramped hotel room in Mayfair or Covent Garden.
