Location & Neighborhood
Tower Hamlets is one of those areas that really shows you working London — not the polished version you see in movies. You’re close enough to Canary Wharf that you can walk there if the weather’s decent, but far enough away that you won’t pay Canary Wharf prices for everything. The nearest Tube connections get you into central London without too much fuss, and there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere that feels like actual Londoners live nearby.
The Room Experience
The room delivers exactly what’s promised in that wonderfully literal hotel name. The air conditioning works (which isn’t always a given in London), the TV picks up all the channels you’d expect, and the soft water system is honestly a nice touch — your hair won’t feel like straw after a shower. The en-suite bathroom is compact but functional, with decent water pressure and proper lighting for getting ready in the morning.
Practical Comforts
What I appreciated most was how everything just worked without any drama. The Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, the heating responds when you adjust it, and housekeeping seems to actually care about details like replacing towels and restocking tea supplies. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a few days without constantly troubleshooting basic amenities — which, let’s be honest, is rarer than it should be in this price range.

The double room & en suite was great. Clean & comfortable. Close to trains Langdon Park. The host was very helpful, hospitable & kind. Made a lovely breakfast & dinner. Overall highy recommend

"Overall, my stay was very good."
The location was ok. However, the property owner is really a good guy.
What could be improved: The surrounding of the property has a white van that is broken down. The property owner should consider moving it to a different location. The will give the property the much desired outer outlook of the property.

The bed was comfortable. The air conditioning was very handy. The shower was great. Good size room and ensuite. Great big TV in the room which we enjoyed.
What could be improved: One pillow each and no spares.

"a cold shed"
it was not expensive, the bed seemed clean.
What could be improved: the room was dirty, both heavy dust but also dirt on the floor and lots of hair on the bathroom floor. There was no hand soap, and when we arrived only 1 towel was provided for 2 guests. another towel was provided but no hand towel.
worst was that the room was 12 degrees when we arrived, it took over half an hour to heat the room to around 19 degrees. The floor was like ice which made it uncomfortably cold to walk on without shoes. It didn't heat up by the next morning as the room is basically a shed with a bathroom and light.
Would not stay again and wouldn't recommend.

"Overpriced and Dirty toilet full of water in the floor."
Bed was ok I guess , and tv and games were good .
What could be improved: Toilet was dirty and the floor was full of water , for that reason I don’t use the shower it didn’t looked cleaned properly.
The extension for charging was super bright at night.
Neighbourhood is not the best.
Overpriced for what it is.
Left something in the comunal fridge , it was gone next day.

"Expensive price - bad apartment"
Ease of check in
What could be improved: It's too expensive for such bad apartment. It was not good value for the money.
Some damaged car was in front of the door right on the parking with dirty stains of oil and lubricants everywhere. Terrible housekeeping.
Noise isolation was bad.
Too early check out 10:00 a.m.
Blanket of the bed was too heavy.
