I’ll be honest — when I first saw the name Crystal Palace Stylish gfloor 1bed apartment,3 minutes walk to Crystal palace station, I thought it was a bit of a mouthful. But you know what? Sometimes the places with the most straightforward names turn out to be exactly what they promise. This four-star ground-floor apartment sits quietly on Anerley Road, and those three minutes to the station? They’re not kidding about that.
The Space Itself
Walking into the room, I was struck by how they’ve managed to make a ground-floor space feel bright and airy. The styling is modern without being cold — think clean lines but with enough character that you don’t feel like you’re staying in a showroom. The kitchen is actually well-equipped, which matters if you’re planning to grab groceries from the Sainsbury’s down the road rather than eating out every meal.
Location Benefits
Here’s where this place really works — Crystal Palace Park is literally across the street, and I mean literally. Morning jogs around the park became part of my routine, and the dinosaur sculptures are weirdly charming (yes, there are Victorian-era dinosaur models just sitting there in the park). The station access is genuinely as advertised — I timed it, and it’s closer to two and a half minutes if you walk at a normal pace.
Getting Around London
The Crystal Palace station connects you to both London Bridge and Victoria, which honestly covers most of what you’ll want to reach in central London. I found the morning commute into town pretty manageable, though the evening rush can get a bit packed. What I appreciated was having a proper base to return to rather than being stuck in the tourist chaos of Zone 1 all the time.
Why Guests Appreciate It
This isn’t the kind of place that tries to wow you with fancy amenities or over-the-top service. Instead, it delivers on the basics really well — reliable wifi, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and that kitchen setup that actually lets you live a bit like a local. "Great place to stay locally and close to great amenities."
The property was well maintained. The location was exquisite as it was less than a five minute walk to the train station. Crystal palace park was nice. The surrounding places to eat was good. If I didn’t want that, I could just walk less than a mile down the road for more food options. All appliances and furniture were in working order. The manager was great and responded to all my needs and questions.
What could be improved: The neighbors could get a bit loud. Especially if they knew we were watching tv, they would turn up the volume on theirs. It also seemed like we were near a club or bar as I kept hearing dance music coming from somewhere. I don’t mind wind chimes, but when there is a loud clanging coming from outside every few minutes, it tends to get on one’s nerves trying to sleep. Blinds in the bedroom would not fully open as they were broken. I had informed the manager of this. The bed was extremely lumpy and hard to sleep on with two people. So we split up time on the couch and the bed.

I had the pleasure of staying here and it was absolutely perfect. The space was exactly as described, clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated with all the amenities I could possibly need. The attention to detail in every corner of the home really made it feel like a special place.
The location was fantastic and easy to get to. I felt very safe and comfortable throughout my stay.

"Dirty, Rundown Property"
The location of the property is good, as was the response from the owner when we complained. We were refunded the remaining 3 nights of our stay. It was not expensive, so I suppose, you get what you pay for.
What could be improved: The property is 'decorated' in a modern style but the place is very rundown. The shower was very dirty, the bathroom cabinet had a used razor in it and clearly hadn't been cleaned in months. The drawer in the bathroom was off its runners and, again, dirty.
The bedroom was small, with mould on the window, there was a lumpy, thin, mattress and a headboard covered in hair and dust. We had to go under the bed to retrieve towels, which turned out to be a mixture of thin, old, multicoloured odd sized towels. (I ended up trying to wash them before we decided just to leave).
The kitchen/living space was probably the best bit but the oven was dirty and there was a dirty pot in the drawer.

What could be improved: Dirty sheets, nightly musical noises from neighbors, no additional bedding prepared despite my having notified them in advance, the entire place dirty, leaking shower, the owner changing the code because even though he gave me the code by email, he changed it and I had to call and wait 10 minutes for the phone to be picked up and the new code to be kindly given, the owner's poor approach to problems as if they did not exist.of course there was extra bedding but it must have been from a homeless person because it stank of sweat and was put under the bed, disgusting.

"Hospedagem muito boa, mas um pouco distante do Centro de Londres"
A estrutura do apartamento é muito boa, o sistema de aquecimento funciona muito bem; contêm forno, fogão, geladeira, panelas, torradeira e todos os itens necessários para uma estadia agradável e ao mesmo tempo, possibilitando preparar as refeições.
Há na região mercados, restaurantes, pub e ao lado do imóvel a cafeteria Crespidia, que ficamos amigos do dono. Tem ônibus e trens para vários locais.
What could be improved: A viagem até o centro de Londres demora cerca de 70/80 minutos, o que pode ser um pouco exaustivo.
