Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Chancery Lane Residences on Grays Inn Road, you’ll notice it’s not trying to be something it isn’t — and honestly, that’s refreshing. This three-star property sits right in Camden, tucked into one of those classic London streets where Georgian buildings lean into each other like old friends sharing secrets. The entrance is understated but clean, and there’s something reassuring about a place that focuses on getting the basics right rather than flashy extras.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re genuinely in the thick of things without the tourist crowd chaos. Camden’s energy buzzes around you, but Grays Inn Road itself stays relatively quiet at night. King’s Cross St. Pancras is a short walk away, which means you can catch the Eurostar or hop on the Piccadilly line to Heathrow without much fuss. The British Museum? Ten minutes on foot, maybe fifteen if you stop for coffee along the way.
The Accommodation
The apartment setup here actually makes sense for London — you get proper space to spread out, which is rare in this city. Each unit comes with its own kitchenette, and while it’s compact, you can definitely manage breakfast or simple meals without hunting down expensive hotel room service. The furnishing is modern but not trying too hard, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable for what you’re paying.
Practical Considerations
Let me be straight with you — this isn’t a place with a fancy restaurant downstairs or a spa to unwind in. What you get instead is reliable Wi-Fi, decent water pressure, and room to actually unpack your suitcase. The staff keeps things running smoothly without being overly chatty, which works well when you’re jet-lagged and just want to check in efficiently. There’s no parking on-site, but honestly, you don’t want a car in central London anyway.
Why Guests Love It
People keep coming back here because it delivers exactly what it promises — a clean, comfortable base in a brilliant location that doesn’t cost a fortune. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or turndown service, but you are getting genuine value in one of the world’s most expensive cities. The neighborhood has that authentic London feel where you’ll find proper pubs next to quirky bookshops, and locals actually live and work here rather than just posing for Instagram photos.

Communication with the owner was brilliant, arrived early to 32 degree heat and got to check in earlier than 3pm. Very comfortable beds. Good shower. Very clean. Great location to public transport with lots of great places to eat and drink around. F9r morning coffee and pastries etc head to Freds, its superb and were so kind to the kids.
What could be improved: No mirror in the double bedroom. After showers the water took a while to drain.

"Fab location. Comfortable no frills but everything you need."
Great location. Convenient to be able to have 20 minute walk to main train stations as well as theatres.
Great offer to drop bags a few hours prior to check in.
Balcony nice to sit on and enjoy the evening with friends
What could be improved: Front door lock to flats broken. Untidy entrance a bit of a put off.

"Amazing location!"
Amazing location, being within walking distance of most mainstream tourist points, such as the British Museum, St. Paul's Cathedral, and more. The kitchen is perfect, super well-equipped.
What could be improved: There is a yard where people sometimes smoke, and the smoke sometimes drifts out to our apartment. The bed, closer to the feet, has some bar ornamentation (differently from the box bed, which has no side bars/ornaments), which, for tall people, is extremely uncomfortable because we must sleep diagonally; otherwise we are kicking our feet against those bars. So, if you are taller than 1.78m, this bed will probably be uncomfortable for you.

Brilliant location. Generally well set out apartment. Surprisingly quiet.
What could be improved: En-suite is really cramped - virtually unusable. No TV signal and online streaming accounts were locked out. Could do with a coffee table.
