Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Babylon Piccadilly feels like discovering one of those gems that Londoners keep to themselves. The entrance on Brewer Street might not scream “look at me,” but honestly, that’s part of its charm. This three-star hotel has this understated confidence about it — you know, the kind of place that doesn’t need to try too hard because it knows exactly what it’s doing.
Location & Getting Around
You’re basically in the heart of everything here in London. I mean, you step out the door and you’re already in Soho — Regent Street is a two-minute walk, and Oxford Circus is right there when you need proper shopping. What I actually love about this spot is how it sits just off the main tourist drag, so you get all the benefits without the constant crowds pushing past your hotel entrance. The Tube connections are brilliant too; Piccadilly Circus station is practically around the corner.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact — and I’m not sugar-coating that — but cleverly designed. They’ve managed to fit everything you need without it feeling cramped, which is honestly impressive given London real estate. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the shower had proper water pressure (you’d be amazed how often hotels get that wrong). The decor leans modern without being cold, and there’s enough storage space that you’re not living out of your suitcase the whole time.
Dining & Nearby Eats
While the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant, you’re spoiled for choice in the neighborhood. There’s this fantastic dim sum place literally across the street, and some of London’s best gastropubs are within a five-minute walk. What’s brilliant is that you can grab coffee and pastries from about six different places before 7 AM — perfect when you’re still adjusting to the time zone and want to start exploring early.
Why Guests Love It
Here’s the thing about Babylon Piccadilly — it gets the basics right and doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. The staff actually remember your name after the first day, which feels rare these days. The neighborhood comes alive at different times — quiet enough for a decent night’s sleep, but buzzing with energy when you want to explore. For the price point, especially considering you’re staying in one of London’s most central areas, it delivers solid value without any nasty surprises on the bill.

"Great location and value for money"
Location and space in the flat. The bed was very comfortable and handy having the TV in there.
What could be improved: If there could be a TV in the lounge kitchen.

"Amazing location, great staff and lovely apartment"
Amazing location and great size, the staff were so accommodating when we arrived, making sure we got an apartment with a washing machine (which we specifically asked for) as our original apartment was having the machine washed. Great communication from the staff before checking in, and the easiest check in system!
The area itself is amazing and full of life, and the price for the apartment is incredible considering what you have on your doorstep.
What could be improved: The sofa bed was missing half the mattress so when it folded out it was still a single.

"Perfect for visiting the central part of London and for people that are not bothered by noise."
Central location, close to the main attractions of the city. Safe neighbourhood. The apartment is suitable for a couple, and there is an extensible couch in the livingroom for extra people. Comfortable bed and couch. Clean and spacious rooms.
What could be improved: There are a lot of pubs in the area and it can get noisy especially on weekends. The bedroom’s window opens to a bar’s terrace. Some facilities could be improved (ventilator in the bathroom was not working, problems with the cable of the ironing).

What could be improved: The sofa bed was hard, but we expected that.

"Not great"
Location was very central however it was up on the 3rd floor. Lots of stairs. No elevator. Not a problem. Just worth knowing if you book here.
What could be improved: My litmus test is 'would I stay here again?' And the answer to that is no. Id also not recommend it to others. Apart from the location it is not good value for money. Broken washing machine, multiple broken doors, the heater in the corner was falling apart, not a great bed and terrible pillows. Didnt provide any rubbish bags or dishwashing tablets for the dishwasher. They did provide washing up soap but the sponge was disgusting, clearly very old and falling apart and had been used by many other guests. Overall very disappointing for the money.

"Pleasant, slightly noisy as expected from the location, which was excellent, but would use it again"
Location
Comfortable bed
What could be improved: We were a towel short - contacted host and delivered next day
No cups/mugs - brought next day
Could have done with a tea towel to dry dishes
Lovely to have a dishwasher, but with being a short visit, it would have been nice to have a couple of dishwasher tablets - too short a visit to go out to buy some
A more major situation occurred when we thought we’d lost the keys at the theatre. I immediately tried to call the number I’d been given at 9:30pm. This must have been an office contact as there was no answer. Fortunately the keys were found, but what would I have done if this hadn’t been the case? They need an emergency contact number - if there is one I couldn’t find it.
