Here’s what I actually love about staying in Bromley — you’re close enough to central London that the commute doesn’t kill you, but far enough out that you can breathe a bit. The high street is literally around the corner, which means you’ve got everything from Marks & Spencer to those little independent cafes that locals actually use. The train station is maybe a ten-minute walk, and you know what? That’s perfect for getting into London Bridge or Victoria without the chaos of staying right in Zone 1.
The Room Experience
My room was surprisingly spacious for what you’d expect in this area. The design leans contemporary without being cold — think clean lines but with actual personality. The bed was properly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom had decent water pressure, which honestly makes or breaks a stay for me. There’s no kitchenette setup, but room service covers the basics if you don’t fancy heading out.
Practical Matters
The staff here actually seem to care, which is refreshing. They’re not overly chatty, but they know their stuff about the area and can point you toward decent dinner spots. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this part of Bromley, but the hotel sorts that out reasonably well. WiFi works properly throughout the building — I tested it because I had some work to catch up on.

Look, West Residence Bromley isn’t trying to be something it’s not. It’s a solid choice if you want somewhere comfortable to sleep without paying London prices, with easy access to both the city and some genuinely nice suburban amenities. The nearby Churchill Theatre is actually quite good if you fancy a show, and there’s a decent restaurant scene developing on the high street. It works particularly well for business travelers who need to be in London but prefer somewhere quieter to decompress in the evenings.

What could be improved: Door handle on main bedroom not there, couldn’t open from the inside. Not enough seating for 5 people, we had to sit on the floor.

"Passable if you just want a bed and shower for a night but not ideal for long or comfortable stays."
The code that was sent to me was not the right one and I had to ring the emergency contact number to get another one- Thankfully the lady that answered was very helpful.
What could be improved: - Lack of facilities in all rooms or very basic facilities, and the decor and furniture throughout is very cheap and flimsy. Kitchen was lacking quite a lot and made it hard to do anything. Some basic cooking instruments would be nice.
- Didn’t feel much at ease in the apartment as other people use the side gate associated with the property and meeting a stranger down the dark alleyway was not what I expected or wanted as a lone travelling female. The place also has a basement bedroom- I would not sleep down there that’s for sure.
I think this place needs to make quite a lot of improvements.

"Overall we enjoyed our stay"
The property has potential if they continue to work on what I wrote below, the beds are comfortable, the property is located in a very nice area and where you have a supermarket and a restaurant with decent prices, the town is worth a visit so I will come back with pleasure.
What could be improved: I would see improvements on cleanliness and the lack of the hair dryer, which in my opinion it is mandatory due to the unpredictable weather.

The cuteness and cleanliness of the property. parking at the rear plus the prompt responses of the host.
What could be improved: The toilet had a slight leakage, but that's life, I guess. You never know when things will go wrong, but the host responded well.

What could be improved: No cutlery, which we had to ask for, Smoke detectors missing from Bedrooms, Sharp pieces of minin trunking sticking out from wall, blank missing from kitchen sink (sharp), han rail missing from stairs and holes where fixings used to be, toilet flush button missing from en suite and damage deposit never refunded after satisfactory check out. What could be improved: We stay at West Residence Bromley was extremely disappointing. The listing photos are completely misleading and seem to be AI-generated — the property looks nothing like what’s advertised. One of the bedrooms had no bed at all, and another had broken bunk bed slats, making it unsafe for children.
The place was filthy, with a strong, unpleasant smell throughout. mice everywhere. Towels and bedding were not clean, and there were mice and rats around the property. There were no toiletries, no proper dining area, and barely any space to sit.
We booked for three adults and two children, including my disabled mother, but the conditions were unacceptable for anyone. Despite reaching out to the host multiple times, we received no real help or resolution.
This property should not be listed in its current state. It was the worst accommodation experience we’ve ever had, and I strongly advise others to avoid it.
Biggest con: Misleading photos and filthy, unsafe living conditions.
