Overview
First Impressions
The Marylebone Residences sits right on Baker Street — yes, that Baker Street — and honestly, the location alone makes this four-star property worth considering. Walking up to the building, you’ll notice it blends seamlessly with the classic Georgian architecture that defines this part of London. It’s not flashy or over-the-top, which I actually appreciate. The lobby feels more like an upscale residential building than a traditional hotel, and that’s exactly what they’re going for here.
The Neighborhood Advantage
You know what’s brilliant about staying here? You’re literally minutes from Baker Street Underground station, which means you can get anywhere in London without the usual tourist trap chaos. Regent’s Park is just across the street — I mean, you can see it from some of the upper floors. The area has this lovely residential feel during the day, but you’re still close enough to Oxford Street that you won’t feel isolated. Plus, there are some genuinely good pubs and cafes tucked away on the side streets that most visitors never discover.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in felt more like a proper London flat than a hotel apartment — and that’s the whole point of these residences. The kitchen was actually functional (not just for show), with a full-size fridge and decent cookware if you want to grab groceries from the nearby Waitrose. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows were a bit soft for my liking. What impressed me most was the attention to detail — proper blackout curtains, USB charging ports exactly where you need them, and enough storage space that you don’t have to live out of your suitcase.
Practical Considerations
The service here strikes that perfect balance between helpful and unobtrusive. The staff knows the area well — they pointed me toward a fantastic little restaurant on Chiltern Street that I never would have found otherwise. There’s no on-site spa or fancy amenities, but honestly, you don’t need them when you’re this well-positioned in the city. The Wi-Fi is solid (essential for anyone working remotely), and the parking situation is manageable, though like anywhere in central London, it’ll cost you.
Why Guests Love It
Here’s the thing about The Marylebone Residences — it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in London, and that’s exactly why it works so well. You get the independence of having your own space with the security and service of a proper hotel. The 7.5 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price point in this part of town. It’s particularly great for longer stays or if you’re traveling with family and need that extra space to spread out. The location really can’t be beat, and sometimes that matters more than marble bathrooms or a rooftop bar.

"Really great location, comfortable apartment and hosts were great!"
The property was well equipped, the size of the property was confortable, the bedrooms were large and the beds comfortable. Loved the walk-in closets, and loved the bathrooms. Everything was clean and nicely presented on arrival. Hosts were very responsive to all queries. Really wonderful hosting!! The location was superb, right on Baker Street station, so extremely easy to get around town from there,
What could be improved: The wear and tear of the property was felt at times, the lighting was complicated- switches would work at one point and then stop working at others, was hard to understand what they turned on- and the lighting itself was a bit flickery. Also, not enough toilet paper on site at all for a family of 4. Other than that, the stay was great!

"Spacious and modern & great location"
Great overall, huge apartment. Modern.
What could be improved: One set of lights in the bedroom would NOT turn off and I had to sleep with them on (above my head). They would then randomly turn off half way through the night. Then, despite me not turning them on again (being afraid they would just stay on during the night again), they came on again at night and stayed on HALF the night.
The furnishing was a bit dated / had clearly had a lot of use and some wear and tear.
Pretty expensive - but, I guess that’s just London.

"Great location in a very spacious flat."
Outstanding location! Plenty of space.
What could be improved: Chairs need a upholstery service, but all
The equipment and facilities were great!

"This is a great place to stay if your priority is being central."
The location was ideal and very central which we loved! The washer/dryer was amazing, and we really appreciated the drying rack. The curtains blocked light out very well and it was not very noisy at night.
What could be improved: Consistent with other reviews, the home felt worn (kitchen and barstool chairs should be replaced as they were shedding and the rug had stains). While the home was technically clean, it did feel like the floors were sticky, and so we made sure to wear socks inside and did laundry more often than we might have otherwise.

"Little gem of a place!!"
Very comfortable, very close to Baker Street tube station, plenty of cafes and restaurants close by, very easy to walk to Oxford Street.
What could be improved: There were no tea towels provided to dry dishes, but otherwise everything was great. Some lamps in the kitchen / lounge would have been helpful.

"Great place if you can ignore the bedroom carpets"
Fantastic location, right across the street from the underground and with lots of restaurants nearby. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. The bathrooms were very modern and have likely been renovated pretty recently. We really enjoyed our stay here.
What could be improved: The only thing that we didn’t like was the dingy carpeting in the bedrooms of our flat. It looked like it had been vacuumed, but it was so badly stained everywhere (large brown stains) that it was repulsive. We never took our socks off. They desperately need to rip it out and put in wood flooring like the rest of the apartment. If they did this, they would get 5-star ratings without a doubt.
