The Ivy Suite – Spacious London 3-Bed
First Impressions
Honestly, when I first walked into The Ivy Suite – Spacious London 3-Bed, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another converted warehouse in Wapping. But you know what? This four-star place really surprised me. The whole setup feels more like staying in a friend’s genuinely nice flat than some sterile hotel room — there’s actual character here, with exposed brick walls and these massive windows that let in tons of natural light.
The Space That Actually Works
The three bedrooms are properly sized, not those cramped London shoebox affairs you usually get. I mean, you can actually open a suitcase without climbing over the bed. The main living area flows nicely into the kitchen area, and it’s got everything you’d actually need — decent-sized fridge, proper cooktop, even a dishwasher. The whole place feels lived-in but well-maintained, if that makes sense.
Wapping — Better Than You’d Think
Here’s the thing about this part of London — most people write off Wapping as some forgotten corner of East London, but they’re missing out. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Thames Path, which honestly beats any expensive river view restaurant for morning coffee. Shadwell DLR station is close enough that getting into the City or Canary Wharf is actually pretty straightforward, and there’s street parking if you’re brave enough to drive in London.
The Neighborhood Reality
Look, this isn’t Covent Garden — you won’t find a dozen pubs on your doorstep or tourist attractions around every corner. But there’s a proper Tesco nearby, some decent takeaway spots, and honestly, after a day of battling London crowds, coming back to this quiet residential area feels like a bit of a retreat. The old warehouse conversions around here give the whole area this sort of industrial-chic vibe that actually works.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
The 8.3 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s not trying to be something fancy, just genuinely functional and comfortable. The host responds quickly when you need something, the WiFi actually works for video calls, and there’s enough space that you don’t feel like you’re living on top of each other. Plus, and this matters more than you’d think, the shower has proper pressure and the heating works without making weird clicking noises all night.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
