Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Superior 2 Bedroom apartment St Paul’s City of London, you immediately notice how quiet it feels despite being smack in the middle of one of London’s busiest districts. The three-star apartment sits on High Timber Street, and honestly, I was surprised by how much natural light floods through the windows — not something you always get in central London properties. The space feels more generous than typical city accommodations, which is refreshing when you’re used to cramped hotel rooms.
The Living Space
What really works here is the layout — you’ve got two proper bedrooms, so it’s actually viable for families or friends traveling together without anyone ending up on a sofa bed. The main living area connects nicely to a functional kitchen that has everything you need if you want to skip expensive restaurant meals occasionally. I mean, when you’re staying in the City of London, every pound saved on dining out is a pound you can spend on something more interesting.
Location Perks
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re a two-minute walk from the Thames, and St Paul’s Cathedral is literally right there — I could see the dome from one of the bedroom windows. The Millennium Bridge is close enough that you can pop over to Tate Modern or Borough Market without thinking twice about it. Plus, you’ve got multiple tube stations within reasonable walking distance, which makes getting anywhere in London pretty straightforward.
Practical Considerations
The building itself feels secure and well-maintained, though don’t expect a fancy lobby or concierge services — this is more about having a proper base than hotel-style amenities. The neighborhood gets busy during weekdays with all the office workers, but evenings and weekends it’s surprisingly peaceful. I actually enjoyed the contrast — you get that proper London city energy during the day, then it settles down when you want to relax.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gives you space to breathe in a part of London where space is premium. You’re not paying for services you might not use, but you are getting a genuine two-bedroom setup in one of the most historic parts of the city. The fact that you can walk to major sights while having a proper kitchen and separate bedrooms makes it feel less like a typical tourist accommodation and more like you’re actually living in London for a few days — which, let’s be honest, is what most of us are really after.

Location was great. Easy access to the underground stations, lots to do around. John was great at communication and quick to respond with any queries or requests. The rooms were comfortable, cosy. Definitely would stay here again.

Great location close to tube.
Cozy apartment fully equipped.
Two bathrooms are a great bonus.

"Pretty good."
Location was pretty good. Right on the Thames, near St Pauls. Close to underground stations, and Millennium bridge which took you to the Tate Modern.
What could be improved: There were a few steps and bridges to cross the main road. A bit of a walk to the supermarkets, but not too far for a fit person.

"Excellent location. Excellent facilities. Excellent stay."
Great location, excellent facilities including kitchen, laundry, two bathrooms, etc.
What could be improved: Could do with less furniture or updated furniture, so there is more space for luggage.

"Very good"
Great location and roomy apartment.
What could be improved: Some of the fixtures and furniture are showing their age and in need of repair. Apartment heating systems were not working and in- room heaters were placed in rooms.

"Didn't stay"
The location was great and the ease of access to the keys to the apartment was good.
What could be improved: This property advertised an elevator which is why we booked it. I recently had foot surgery and needed to minimize stairs. The elevator was not working when we arrived. A sign posted said it would be out June 24 (5 days before we arrived on the 29th) for 4 weeks. We also got approval to arrive at 2. When we got there at 1:45, the host who met us said they needed 45 mins to complete cleaning. The apartment itself was clean/fine, but the primary bathroom shower does have significant mold buildup at the base of the door + fan in the other room had a broken stand making it difficult to actually use. Because there was no elevator, we ended up staying at the Westin next door (at 4x the price). Timeline: June 29 arrived at apt & told owner elevator was out of service. Was told to cancel our reservation so they could rebook and try to get us money back. Requested a free cancelation to waive fees (assuming that meant that we might not get all our money back, which was ok - we offered to pay the first night). Were asked to return the keys so they could clean. There was nothing to clean short of 2 hand towels we used to wash our hands + the pillowcases our girls laid on while they waited for us to find new accommodations. Our request was denied the next morning even though we returned the keys. So now we can't even get into the apartment. July 1 looked up the booking and saw the apartment was still unavailable, so asked about the status. Was told to cancel, and it was being cleaned that day. Told them I tried to cancel, and it was denied. I tried again and was now told on the app that the property was unavailable to cancel. July 2, asked them to cancel for us, were told first, "no, can't unless it's our fault - it will affect our ratings negatively" and then "no, because we will be heavily penalized". If we had known it would be this much of a hassle, we would have kept the keys & used laundry and kitchen. Booking.
