First Impressions
Stylish Retreats on Olympic Way caught me off guard in the best possible way. I’ll be honest — I wasn’t expecting much from a four-star property on what’s essentially a busy thoroughfare leading to Wembley Stadium. But stepping into this place, you immediately get that “oh, this is different” feeling. The design has this modern, almost boutique-hotel vibe that feels way more upscale than the price point suggests.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about staying near Wembley — it’s actually brilliant if you know what you’re doing. You’re literally a stone’s throw from Wembley Stadium (obviously), but what I really appreciated was being on the Metropolitan line. Twenty minutes to Baker Street, maybe thirty to central London on a good day. The area itself is pretty quiet when there isn’t a match or concert happening, which honestly surprised me.
The Room Experience
My room was genuinely stylish — they weren’t kidding with that name. Clean lines, good lighting, and a bed that actually felt like someone put thought into it. The bathroom was compact but well-designed, with one of those rainfall showers that makes you want to stay in longer than you should. What really impressed me was the attention to detail — proper blackout curtains, plenty of charging points, and decent Wi-Fi that actually worked.
Practical Touches
The kitchenette setup was smarter than I expected — not just a mini-fridge and kettle situation, but actual cooking facilities if you want them. There’s a small dining area that doubles as a workspace, which came in handy for spreading out maps and planning day trips. Parking is available on-site, though I’d recommend booking it in advance, especially if there’s something big happening at Wembley.
Why Guests Love It
You know what really works about this place? It feels like someone actually thought about what travelers need, rather than just checking boxes. The staff genuinely seem to know the area — they pointed me toward a decent curry house that I never would’ve found otherwise, and gave me the heads-up about which tube times to avoid. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable spreading out for a few days, whether you’re here for an event or using it as a London base.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
