Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Kew Bridge Penthouse on Baltic Avenue, you immediately notice this isn’t your typical London hotel. It’s actually housed in a modern residential building that feels more like you’re visiting a well-connected friend than checking into a four-star property. The entrance is understated — no grand lobby or doormen in top hats — but that’s exactly what makes it interesting.
The Space Itself
This place is essentially a proper penthouse apartment that’s been converted into guest accommodation, and honestly, it shows in all the right ways. You’ve got a full kitchen with everything you’d actually need (not just a kettle and mini-fridge), plus living areas that feel lived-in rather than sterile. The views from up here are pretty spectacular too — you can see across to the Thames and toward Kew Gardens, which is particularly nice in the morning with coffee.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this spot in London — you’re technically in Zone 3, but Kew Gardens station is literally a few minutes’ walk away. That means you’re on the District line straight into central London, or you can hop on the London Overground. The area around Kew Bridge is quietly residential but not boring — there’s a decent pub right by the bridge, and honestly, being this close to Kew Gardens means you’ve got one of London’s best green spaces on your doorstep.
What Makes It Work
The room setup here feels more like a proper flat than a hotel room, which means you can actually spread out and live a bit. There’s proper storage space, decent lighting for reading, and — this might sound small but it matters — good water pressure in the shower. The whole place has been done up recently, so everything works properly, but it doesn’t feel overly designed or fussy.
Why Guests Love It
I think people book this place because they want something different from the usual London hotel experience. You’re getting the space and comfort of an apartment with hotel-level service when you need it. Plus, parking is actually available here, which anyone who’s tried to drive in London will appreciate. The 8.8 rating makes sense — it’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town, but it delivers exactly what it promises, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want.

"Enjoyable and very comfortable"
Location, cleanliness and modern
What could be improved: Parking was not always available … however we had a Transit custom which couldn’t use the covered parking .

"Pleasant stay in Kew"
Apartment inside was very nice. Clean, nice bedrooms, great bath/showers. Parking was very handy, with the allocated underground space very close to the apartment lift.
What could be improved: Main problem was the apartment building does not show up obviously on Google Maps! The building next to it is named, but this one wasn’t, which got a bit stressful on arrival trying to find it. Also was confusing with the central courtyard between the buildings being locked, blocking way. There’s a security/reception that was a bit helpful but think person was new. Also, the driveway around the buildings seems to be blocked off by metal fencing, presumably for security. A marked-out map image would help. It also wasn’t clearly stated where the underground car park entrance was - I think we might have been told right, but the car park was left. Again a map would help. Some instructions on the key fob would be useful too. The apartment owner and cleaner were helpful to get us sorted though thanks.

"Amazing property; HIGHLY recommended."
Very large living/dining room. Very stylish kitchen area. Entire property was modern and in excellent condition. Lovely outside communal area with large grassy area and water features with seating.
What could be improved: Took about 45 minutes to get into central London - a short bus ride and then a train. Some people might not like this but we did because it meant we were in a much quieter, less crowded part of the city, so it wasn’t really a hardship for us.

"Delightful, spacious and welcoming"
Representative met us on site with keys, and helpful orientation to parking acccess, etc.
What could be improved: Perfect for myself with my fiancé and her young daughter on short notice. I have no qualms in fully recommending the property. It's clean, modern and well outfitted with conveniences. The bath towels provided were superior to those I'd brought myself.

"Exceptional"
Nice, helpful owner of the apartment. Apart from that the apartment itself was beautiful, large and clean. Close to shops, to the metro. We spent a lovely week in London.
What could be improved: Everything was fine.

"Good value"
We chose this property because it was close to the M4 & Heathrow. It was easy to locate the building. The owners were also very friendly and offered us free entrance to the Kew Gardens. There are some shops around and train stations.

"Perfect place to work and get into London from"
Super cute 2 bed 2 bath apartment/flat. Very clean. Well stocked kitchen and great coffee maker. Lots of tea and sugar and spices in the cupboard beside the fridge. Double glazing and shades come down and block out almost all light. 65 and K1 busses get you onto the Central, Piccadilly and District tube lines. Sainsbury’s local grocery store is 100 yards away.
What could be improved: This is just a me issue - but it is right beside the M4/Great Western Road and if you are sensitive to pollution it is a bit of an issue.
