Overview
First Impressions
Stylish & Comfy Stay at Chelsea Cloisters London – Walk to Tube & Bus sits in one of those classic red-brick mansion blocks that make South Kensington so distinctive. I’ll be honest — the building itself feels a bit like stepping into a 1930s film, with its grand entrance and old-school London charm. The apartment setup here is actually pretty clever, giving you more space than your typical hotel room while keeping things surprisingly stylish.
Location & Getting Around
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re genuinely close to everything that matters in London. South Kensington tube station is maybe a seven-minute walk, and honestly, that connects you to the entire city without much fuss. The Natural History Museum and V&A are practically next door — I mean, you could pop over for an hour between other plans. Chelsea proper is just down the road, so you get that posh neighborhood feel without the completely ridiculous prices.
The Space Itself
This four-star setup gives you way more room to breathe than most London accommodations. The kitchenette is actually functional — not just for show — which comes in handy when you’re dealing with London restaurant prices or just want coffee at a reasonable hour. The living area feels properly separate from the sleeping space, so if you’re traveling with someone, you’re not constantly on top of each other. Everything’s been updated recently too, so it doesn’t feel stuck in some previous decade.
Practical Stuff That Actually Matters
The building has this old-fashioned lift that’s actually quite charming, though it moves at a leisurely pace — just so you know. There’s a laundry situation in the building, which is honestly a godsend if you’re staying more than a few days. The whole place feels secure and well-maintained, and the entry system works properly (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case in London). Staff are around when you need them but not hovering, which strikes the right balance.
Why Guests Love It
What really works here is that you get the independence of having your own space without sacrificing the neighborhood. South Ken has this perfect mix of museums, good cafes, and actual local life — it’s not just tourist central. The value proposition is solid too; you’re getting apartment-style space in one of London’s better areas for what you’d pay for a cramped hotel room elsewhere. Plus, having that kitchen means you can actually enjoy those expensive groceries from Harrods Food Hall without eating every meal out.

"Bellissimo appartement , some issues to be sol ed ( heating and internet)"
The appartement is very nice and the bef extremely comfortable. I loved the curtains.
What could be improved: The heating was too high and impossible to lower ( radiators were cold but floor and dome heating pulsed through the ceiling was too much).
I openef the windows but there was a lot of noise outside.
I could not get TV channels working as well and internet wifi did not work

"Brilliant location, responsive host, walkable to public transport, comfortable beds, great to self cater"
Location, clean linen, washing machine
What could be improved: Just small things needing some attention to detail. No plug for washing dishes in sink, no drying rack for dishes or hanging out washing, no tea towel (although we found one in the cleaning cupboard), a broken hair dryer, property needs a deep clean as abit dusty in bedroom/some crockery was dirty, green mould in water jug, no ability to leave luggage at reception, slightly clunky/unclear check in process which was happily rectified very quickly by host.

"Pretty good. Would stay again. Needs a bit of a refurb, but clean and comfortable."
This was easy, although I didn't get the email before I arrived, so I needed to call. Immediate response from owner.
What could be improved: This is quite a nice place. It's clean and the bed is very comfortable. That said, it's getting a little shabby in places, and it needs refurbishment. This is particularly the case in the bathroom.

"Would definitely recommend and would use again."
The apartment was clean and homely. The double bed was very comfy. Lots of wardrobe space. There was cleaning bits and pieces to use if needed but the apartment itself was very clean. There is a separate toilet as well as the toilet in the bathroom which is off of the main bedroom.
The internet was great, no real issues, a little bit of buffering occasionally but we all had phones linked to it as well as my laptop and the TV.
Kitchen was well equipped with microwave, coffee maker, toaster and kettle as well as a hob and oven and a good sized fridge with a small freezer compartment. There was also a washer/drier which was so handy as we got soaking wet in the rain so I could dry out clothes off.
There were 2 air con machines which were very useful and also the windows opened. Nice thick curtains which blocked out the light.
There were staff available on reception 24 hours but as this flat is a private one didn't need to check in and we didn't need any support at all. It's all arranged through booking.com and the owners message direct. Very good communication. There were 2 main lifts in the lobby but one was out of order. Not very big lifts. There was a sign apologising for inconvenience and directing to other lifts just down the corridor. We explored this and there were 2 working lifts which were at the other end of the building and much less used, so we used these for the rest of our stay.
A handy Sainsbury's Express within less than a 5 minute walk and also a 24 hour garage next door which I think is where the onsite parking was. I didn't use this facility as they wanted £45 a night. I booked parking through JustPark which was £52 for 3 nights and a short Uber drive away at Apex Parking, Victoria.
What could be improved: There wasn't a washing up bowl that I could find and also no plug for the sink so washing up was a little bit of a challenge. Also the oven tray hadn't been washed and had bits of what I think were sausages and congealed fat in it. The mugs also were quite tea stained and needed a scrub.
I slept on the sofa bed which I'm sad to say was really uncomfortable as the mattress was so thin you could feel all the joints in the sofa. However, I am plus size so it may not be so bad for kids or someone thinner than me!!

"Exceptional"
The location was great! Short walk to bus stops and a Sainsburys right next door if I needed something quick. It was a lovely quiet area. I felt safe walking around at night alone. The host was helpful and accommodating.
What could be improved: It advertises air conditioning but it’s really a big fan.

"Very goo value for money, big space"
Easy to book and check in, Very good value for money. Alot os space (apartment)
What could be improved: The TV didn't work. It needed internet. There was a 3-mobile hub but it wasn't connecting. I blame it on 3-mobile they are the worst mobile network ever.
