Overview

First Impressions

Walking down Irving Street to find Stylish 1 bed flats in Soho, next to Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square, you realize you’re literally in the heart of everything. This four-star property sits on a quiet side street, which honestly feels like a minor miracle given how close you are to all the chaos. The building itself has that classic London charm — not flashy, but solid and reassuring in a way that makes you think you’ve made a smart choice.

The Perfect Base in Central London

You know what struck me most about staying here? You can walk to Trafalgar Square in about three minutes, and Piccadilly Circus is even closer — I mean, you’ll hear the buzz of the crowds if you open your windows. But here’s the thing: London‘s West End can be overwhelming, and having this quiet street as your retreat makes all the difference. Leicester Square, Covent Garden, the National Gallery — they’re all just a quick stroll away, but you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds right outside your door.

The Space Itself

These one-bedroom apartment units are what you’d actually want for a London stay — not cramped hotel rooms, but proper flats where you can spread out a bit. The kitchen setup is particularly clever; it’s compact but functional enough that you could make breakfast or store groceries from Borough Market. The room feels modern without being sterile, and the beds are genuinely comfortable (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in central London accommodations).

What Makes It Work

The location strategy here is brilliant, actually. You’re close enough to walk everywhere — the theaters, shopping on Oxford Street, even crossing the Thames to the South Bank — but you’re on a residential street where locals live and work. I spotted a proper pub around the corner and a few cafes that clearly serve the neighborhood, not just tourists. The building management seems to get that balance between hotel service and apartment independence just right.

Why Guests Love It

People consistently rate this place highly (8.6 out of 10, which is solid for central London), and I think it’s because it solves the classic London dilemma: location versus livability. You get the excitement of being in the thick of things without feeling like you’re sleeping in Times Square. The value proposition works too — you’re paying for the location and the space, but you’re not getting gouged for unnecessary hotel frills you probably wouldn’t use anyway.

Locals suggest to book apartments in London around South Bank for riverside dining, market stops, and easy city crossings.

"Super clean, comfortable, well appointed flat."
Super clean!
What could be improved: There was an alarm that went off the last few days we were there. Thankfully we couldn’t hear it from in the flat as we were one of the upper units but I can imagine that it would’ve been very disruptive for the lower units.

"Great location, quiet, very nice bathroom and kitchen. Lots of space and everything you need in terms of dishwasher, was"
Clean, easy access with great communication with the company. Great bathroom and kitchen, very large for being London. Quiet despite being so central. Great location.
What could be improved: Small double bed in the bedroom and the sofa bed was not the greatest to sleep in as it was short and worn down so you slept in a hollow. The back was broken so you couldn’t turn it into a sofa during daytime. WiFi was not working throughout the duration of our stay.

"Very pleasant stay"
it’s very central location but quiet as it’s off noisy chinatown ; comfortable like home away from home ; there is storage facility nearby to keep our bags after check out
What could be improved: there was some electricity outage and wifi outage but not a fault ; we were on the 4th floor which was bit of climb with bags

"Great location, with all the comforts of home"
The flat was spacious, well-equipped, and even climbing up 3 flights of stairs with luggage wasn't that bad. The neighborhood is lively, but the sound was minimal with closed windows. There are several coffee spots less than 4-minutes away, and public transportation is very convenient.
What could be improved: The stairs (no lift) might be difficult for some people, but it was advertised as such, so no surprise.

"Well-designed apartament with amazing location"
Well-designed,modern, and spacious apartament. Very clean!! Have all necessary utensils. Amazing location (Leicester square) - very close to Westminster, Soho, and Coven Garden. Close to the metro station that goes to Heathrow airport. The Joivy Team was very helpful and responded very quickly. I appreciate the video with the information how to get inside the flat, close the door, etc. Strongly recommend!
What could be improved: Few additional information that might be useful for others. There are multiple stairs but they should not be a problem for mobile people. It is old english apartament house, so the walls are thin and you can hear if someone in the upper flat is walking at night. Bed could be small for tall (>180 cm) or if one of the person is obese. There are no EU adapters,so you have to buy it. Please also note that due to the location it is loud outside in the evenings and at nights, especially during summer period.
