But honestly, the location immediately won me over — you’re literally steps away from the ancient market square where traders have been setting up stalls for over 800 years. The building itself has that understated British charm, nothing flashy, but it fits perfectly into Kingston’s historic streetscape.

Location & Neighborhood

This three-star spot puts you right in the thick of things in Kingston upon Thames. I mean, you can’t get much more central than Apple Market — the whole town radiates out from here. What’s brilliant is that you’re a two-minute walk to Kingston’s main shopping streets, but also just as close to the Thames Path if you fancy a riverside stroll. The ancient All Saints Church is practically next door, and there’s something quite magical about having your morning coffee while church bells chime across the square.

The Space

The apartment itself feels genuinely stylish without trying too hard. The kitchen is compact but well-equipped — I actually managed to cook a proper meal, which surprised me given how small London kitchens usually are. The living area has these lovely big windows that look out over the market square, so you get a real sense of the town’s rhythm throughout the day. The bedroom is on the quieter side, which you’ll appreciate since the market can get a bit lively during weekend evenings.

Daily Life Here

What I loved most was how quickly this place made me feel like a local rather than a tourist. There’s a Waitrose literally around the corner for groceries, and the Kingston Market has some fantastic food stalls — the Caribbean curry place is absolutely worth trying. The parking situation is typical for a town center (meaning challenging), but honestly, once you’re here, you won’t need a car. The train station is a pleasant ten-minute walk, and you can be in central London within 25 minutes.

This isn’t your typical hotel experience, and that’s exactly the point. You get to live like you actually belong in Kingston rather than just passing through. The price point feels fair for what you’re getting — a proper apartment in one of Surrey’s most historic locations. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with fancy amenities, but there’s something genuinely appealing about making your own breakfast while watching the market vendors set up their stalls below. "perfect property for max 2 people"
property is lovely and clean and exactly as shown in the photos
What could be improved: The property is perfect for 2 people but the sofa bed in the living room, although stylish, is uncomfortable. The living room is very noisy making sleep difficult, it was noisy both at night and in the morning

What could be improved: Dirty cupboards with mouldy fruit in Not very clean still crumbs on floor from previous customers Tear in sofa bed and very uncomfortable to sit on! Noisy screaming shouting from revellers till 5am on weekends Needs noise protection on windows somehow

"Efficient, responsive staff, and amazing location"
Amazing location, near all the shops and restaurants. The staff was very responsive when I reported a small mix-up on our arrival.
What could be improved: It gets a bit loud on weekends because of the pub nearby, but nothing too problematic

"Ideal for friends to stay together, visit local venues and enjoy time in after a busyday"
Perfect location in the centre of Kinston, ideal for trains into London which take 20 mins.
What could be improved: A little noisy throughout the night (not a real problem), local bars and a huge iron gate opening and closing.

"Lovely family stay in the heart of Kingston."
Fully equipped kitchen, clean with good WiFi and all mod cons. The apartment was very secure so we felt safe and the main plus was the location which was right in the heart of market and shops and very close to the river and train station.
What could be improved: A little noisy at night as it’s very close to O’Neills but it’s only for a short time and to be expected from such a central location.

"It was fine."
Its location was excellent.
What could be improved: The radiators were very noisy, clanking and banging all day and night. There was not Private Parking available (even at an additional cost). I had to park in a public car park - very expensive and not very convenient with luggage. The front door and access wasn’t very easy to use.

"You need something?...just walk few minutes"
The location...in the middle of everything you need, shops, restaurants, means of transportation, pedestrian area...etc. The apartment is clean and supplied with everything you need in the kitchen.l would come back again if I was in the area
