Stunning Piccadilly 1 BR Flat in London VR9
First Impressions
Stunning Piccadilly 1 BR Flat in London VR9 sits right on Shaftesbury Avenue, and I’ll be honest — the location absolutely makes up for what this three-star place might lack in fancy amenities. You’re literally stepping out onto one of London’s busiest theatre streets, which means the energy is constant but so is the noise. The building itself is typical Victorian London — narrow stairs, character but no lift, so pack light if you’re on an upper floor.
The Space
The apartment is compact but actually well thought out for what you get in Central London. The kitchen has everything you need for basic meals — I mean, you’re not cooking elaborate dinners here, but morning coffee and simple breakfasts work perfectly fine. The room feels bigger than expected, probably because of the high ceilings, and there’s decent storage which you definitely appreciate after living out of a suitcase.
Location Magic
Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re a two-minute walk from Piccadilly Circus, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by proper London life. Leicester Square is right there, Chinatown starts practically at your doorstep, and honestly, some of the best late-night eats in the city are within stumbling distance. The theatre district means you can literally decide to catch a show on a whim, though good luck getting last-minute tickets to the popular ones.
The Reality Check
You know what, this isn’t a quiet retreat — Shaftesbury Avenue doesn’t sleep, and neither will you if you’re a light sleeper. The windows do an okay job with the noise, but buses and late-night revelers are part of the package. Parking is basically nonexistent around here, so forget about driving. The Tube stations at Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square are super close though, which actually makes getting around London way easier than dealing with a car anyway.
Why Guests Love It
The thing about this place is it puts you right in the thick of everything without the price tag of a fancy hotel. You’re paying for location and independence — being able to grab groceries at the Tesco Metro down the street, having your own space to decompress after crowded tourist days, and sleeping in the actual heart of London rather than commuting in from some distant area. Sure, it’s not glamorous, but it’s real London living, and for a three-star place, it delivers exactly what it promises without trying to be something it’s not.
