Overview
First Impressions
Stunning 1 bed apartment sits right on Union Street in Southwark, and honestly, the name doesn’t oversell it. Walking up to this apartment, you get that immediate sense that someone actually cared about the details — the building has character without feeling tired or run-down. The entrance feels more like stepping into a friend’s well-appointed place than checking into typical tourist accommodation.
Location & Neighborhood
Southwark is one of those areas that’s become properly cool without losing its edge, you know? You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Borough Market (trust me, go hungry), and the Thames is close enough that you can actually hear the city humming across the water. London Bridge station is about ten minutes away, which means you’re connected to everything without being stuck in the tourist chaos of Central London. The street itself has that perfect mix of local pubs and decent coffee shops.
The Space
What struck me most was how they’ve managed to make this four-star place feel both polished and lived-in. The room layout actually makes sense — there’s proper separation between the sleeping area and living space, plus a kitchenette that’s more than just a mini-fridge and kettle shoved in a corner. The bed’s comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and there’s enough storage that you won’t be living out of your suitcase for the entire stay.
Practical Matters
The kitchenette is surprisingly well-equipped — I mean, you could actually cook a proper meal if you wanted to, though with Borough Market so close, why would you? There’s no dedicated parking, but this is central London, so that’s hardly surprising. The WiFi works properly, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong. They’ve thought about the small stuff too — decent shower pressure, blackout curtains that actually block light, and outlets where you need them.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t trying to be the flashiest place in London, and that’s exactly why it works. You get the space and privacy of having your own place, but with the reliability of proper hospitality standards. The 8.6 rating makes sense when you stay here — it’s the kind of place where everything just works without any drama. Whether you’re here for work or exploring the city, you’ll find yourself actually relaxing instead of just crashing between activities.

"A great place and location for a London visit"
A great place and location for a London visit, very quiet place, the apartment had everything needed for the stay! Location is very near to the Metro station Southwark, a walk distance from many nice restaurants.

"“”Perfect stay with everything you need”"
Our stay was excellent! Janet was always helpful and easy to communicate with. The apartment was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Its location is great, close to the metro and with many supermarkets nearby, which made everything very convenient. We truly felt at home and would highly recommend it.
What could be improved: Nothing

"Beautiful apartment with great location"
We booked the apartment last minute due to previously booked accommodation turning out to be a nightmare and needing somewhere quickly.
Janet was amazing, she called us in the morning and sent directions and access info so we could drop off our cases, and arranged the cleaner to pop round while we were out to freshen everything up.
There was everything you could ask for, and was very much a 'home from home', it was very comfortable (the bed was super comfy) and the location was perfect for us, just a few minutes walk from Southwark tube. Next time we visit London this will absolutely be our first choice!
What could be improved: Nothing, it was perfect!

"It’s a place to spend the night, but I wouldn’t recommend it."
The shower water pressure was good, and the living room indeed had a sofa bed, which was convenient. The kitchen was equipped with the basic utensils we needed.
What could be improved: The toilet water pressure had issues, and the heating system also broke down, which caused us a lot of inconvenience. We couldn’t use the toilet from the very first day, and the bathroom’s heated towel rail kept leaking until we checked out. Although the host arranged someone to fix it immediately, their attitude was disappointing—constantly accusing us of throwing something into the toilet instead of admitting that the facilities were outdated. According to the plumbers, these installations should have been replaced long ago.

La localisation : parfait pour découvrir la ville
Très bel appartement.
What could be improved: La rue est un peu bruyante et le double vitrage pas très efficace

"Da ripetere"
Pulita, zona tranquilla. Venti minuti dal big ben, 10 dalla city e dal tower bridge
What could be improved: Un po’ rumorosa, ma dettaglio trascurabile

"Struttura molto accogliente e funzionale. Da consigliare ad altri italiani. Londra è una città bellissima. Ne è valsa ve"
Pulita, ordinata, funzionale, ben arredata e comoda a tuti i servizi pubblici ed agli intrattenimenti.
What could be improved: Forse la privacy, per come la concepiamo noi italiani, non è garantita con le sole tende interne. Ma questo fa parte della tradizione inglese.
