Overview
First Impressions
Walking into The Hide London, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical chain hotel. The lobby feels more like a stylish friend’s apartment than a corporate space — there’s something refreshingly understated about the whole vibe. It’s a four-star property that doesn’t try too hard to impress, which honestly makes it more impressive.
The Hendon Factor
Here’s the thing about staying in Hendon — most tourists skip right over it, but that’s actually part of the charm. You’re about 20 minutes from central London by tube, which means you get the best of both worlds: easy access to the madness without being stuck in it. The area around Hendon Way has this quietly residential feel, with proper local pubs and cafes that tourists never discover.
Room Comfort
The room I stayed in was compact but cleverly designed — everything had its place without feeling cramped. The bed was genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathroom actually had decent water pressure, which you’d be surprised how often hotels get wrong. There’s a small desk area that works well if you need to catch up on emails, and the Wi-Fi is solid throughout.
Dining and Amenities
The on-site restaurant serves up British classics with a modern twist — nothing revolutionary, but the ingredients are quality and the portions are generous. What I really appreciated was the parking situation; having a dedicated spot in London without paying through the nose is practically miraculous. The staff genuinely seem to care about making your stay work, which you notice in small ways throughout your visit.
Why Guests Love It
You know what sets The Hide London apart? It’s the kind of place where business travelers and weekend visitors both feel at home. The location gives you breathing room from the tourist chaos while keeping you connected to everything that matters. Plus, with an 8.6 rating from actual guests, it’s clear they’re doing something right — and that something is simply focusing on the fundamentals without unnecessary fuss.

"Lovely little gem of a hotel, worth a visit."
Friendly staff, check in was super easy.
Room was larger than expected. As well as the usual tea and coffee making facilities, there was also biscuits and bottled water. Bathroom had little extras like toothbrush and toothpaste kits, decent toiletries and fluffy towels. Slippers in the wardrobe. All really nice little extras
What could be improved: Nothing to note

"Great hotel. Would highly recommend !"
Staff were amazingly friendly and so helpful.
Great hotel in a great location.
Very close to tube station
Plenty of free parking available
What could be improved: Only small criticism was that the room and hotel was very warm, even with the room heating off and window open. The stay was in autumn so not due to warm weather.
This wouldn't stop me from staying again though. Way more pros than this slight con.

"It served its purpose being clean, tidy & friendly staff."
Very clean and spotless. Staff were exceptionally helpful and courteous.
What could be improved: Amenities in bathroom were very basic and the sink was dated. However it served its purpose. The room was rather small for a wheelchair. No shelf in bathroom to put wash bag on and doorways were very narrow even under normal circumstances. There was no number on the outside wall and was driving up and down the carriageway until in the end we had to run in and ask what the number was and if we were in the right place as it’s advertised as the Hide but outside it said Hotel London! Very confusing.
