Overview
First Impressions
Studio flat in Central London-PADDINGTON sits right on Praed Street, and honestly, you can’t ask for a better spot if you’re trying to get around London easily. The building itself is typical Victorian London — nothing fancy, but it has that solid, lived-in character you’d expect from this part of Westminster. When I first walked up, I appreciated that it felt like a real London apartment rather than some sterile hotel lobby experience.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s brilliant about staying here? Paddington Station is literally a two-minute walk away. I mean, you can probably hear the trains if you listen carefully, but it’s not disruptive — just reassuring when you realize how connected you are to everything. The Heathrow Express stops right there, so airport transfers are painless. Plus, you’ve got the Circle, District, Hammersmith & City, and Bakerloo lines all meeting at Paddington, which means central London is your oyster.
The Space
This three-star studio does exactly what it promises — gives you a proper place to stay without any pretense. The room is compact but thoughtfully laid out, with everything you actually need for a London visit. There’s a small kitchenette area that’s surprisingly functional if you want to grab groceries from the Tesco Express down the street and save some money on meals. The bed is comfortable enough, and the bathroom, while not spacious, gets the job done with decent water pressure.
Practical Details
What I really liked was how straightforward everything felt. The heating works well (important in London, trust me), and there’s decent WiFi throughout. The windows face onto Praed Street, so you get a bit of street noise, but nothing worse than you’d expect from central London — actually, I found the gentle hum of city life quite soothing. Storage space is limited, but there’s enough for a week’s worth of clothes if you pack smart.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to win any design awards, but it delivers on the fundamentals that matter when you’re exploring London. The location alone — being steps from Paddington and walking distance to Hyde Park — makes up for any lack of fancy amenities. I’d recommend it to anyone who plans to spend their days out and about rather than lounging in their accommodation. For the price point in this area of London, you’re getting honest value and a genuine taste of living like a local, even if it’s just for a few days.
Locals suggest to book apartments in London around South Bank for riverside dining, market stops, and easy city crossings.

"Great location, great value and super friendly host"
Great location, 20m from a Tesco Express opened all day and 5mn of walk to the Paddington station. Had everything we needed and the host was very helpful.
What could be improved: We could hear the subway and we could hear through the window waking us up at night...

"Nice and well kept studio with everything you need. Host is excellent."
As I work at St Mary's hospital the location is perfect. The studio contains absolutely everything you need and the cleaning standard is very high. The supermarket is literally opposite the building. Communication with the host is excellent, always available and very polite and respectful.
What could be improved: The location on Praed street comes with significant street noise and vibration from the underground. It is my second stay at the studio and I am very used to it now.
The building is very old and the front door lock needs attention. It is quite tricky to open the door and requires a big push. The first time I stayed, one of the barbers next door very kindly helped me open it.

What could be improved: The apartment is on the first floor, you need to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to the apartment.
The toilet is quite narrow

"Exceptional"
The studio is so cosy for me and my daughter that we felt we were at home. The neighbourhood is clean and active. We always felt safe even we came late at night. There are so many restaurants, cafes, supermakets nearby and some of them are open till midnight or later. The most importantly,it is about 300 metres to the Paddington train Station. It is one of the central train stations,so you can go wherever you want by tube. The most famous attractions are 15-20 minutes away from the srudio. It's easy to explore London.Special thanks to the host, since he was always extremely caring, interested, kind and helpful from the beginning till the end.I would like to stay again, when I come back.

"Very good location, spacious flat"
Location is very good, within 3 miles of buckingham palace, big ben, and other places in city centre. Very close to Paddington and Edgware Road stations, and numerous bus stops.
Flat is spacious and well equipped, all cooking equipment worked and there is a refrigerator and a separate freezer.
What could be improved: Traffic outside might be somewhat noisy, as the flat is beside a major road.

"Cozy studio in Paddington St."
the location was close to where I would make my work commitments. Automatic check in with keys in the security box.
Full kitchen, small bathroom but powerful sink and shower with anti-lime shower.Lovely
Wifi vodafone fast,good cleaning products.
Thanks Flavio.
What could be improved: You need to put blinds on the window next to the bed like you have next to the TV. When it's dawning, the light comes in and you end up waking up with the light in your face,no more large pans.
It is a recommended studio and I will return if it is available on my dates.

"Very poor"
The owner was very pleasant and we quickly received information about the keys. The bus connection is very good, the night bus runs every 10-12 minutes. Bus stop right near the house
What could be improved: The apartment is in dire need of repair. Walls with large stains, floor covering worn and swollen. The furniture is old, the cabinet doors are about to fall off. There was a TV in the apartment, but without a connection, so I couldn't see any channels. The owner had not left us the wifi password, and since we arrived at the apartment late, I didn't start calling anymore. Since Wi-Fi was not allowed, I had to buy a paid service to check in for the flight, etc. The apartment is located in a relatively gloomy street, where you wouldn't really want to move at night, but I also understand that you probably won't get an apartment in a much better condition in London for such a price. It is better to contribute more financially so that there are no unpleasant surprises.
