Overview
First Impressions
You know what strikes you first about Studio Apartment in Kew? It’s tucked away on Sandycombe Road in a way that feels genuinely residential — not like those tourist-heavy areas where you’re obviously just passing through. The building itself has that solid, unpretentious London feel, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was despite being so close to everything.
The Space
This apartment is what I’d call properly functional without being fancy. The room setup works well — you’ve got everything you need in one thoughtfully arranged space, and the kitchen area is actually usable (I mean, you can cook a real meal here, not just heat up instant noodles). The whole place feels like someone actually lives here rather than a sterile hotel box, which I really appreciated during my stay.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about staying in Kew — you’re close enough to central London without the madness and expense of being right in the thick of it. The Royal Botanic Gardens are literally a few minutes’ walk away, which is brilliant if you want some green space. Getting into town is straightforward too; the District Line from Kew Gardens station gets you to places like Earl’s Court or Westminster in about 30-40 minutes.
Local Neighborhood
What I really liked was how this three-star place puts you right in a proper London neighborhood. There’s a decent pub around the corner — The Maids of Honour — and some solid local shops on Kew Road where you can grab groceries without tourist markup prices. The whole area has this village-y feel that’s quite different from central London, but you’re not sacrificing accessibility for it.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to blow your mind with amenities or over-the-top service, but that’s sort of the point. It’s honest accommodation that does what it says — gives you a comfortable base in a genuinely nice part of London. The parking situation is manageable if you’re driving, which is more than you can say for most London stays. For the price point and that 8.7 rating, it makes sense — you’re getting good value without any pretense.
Exploring London blends royal heritage, UNESCO landmarks, and vibrant neighborhoods glowing with golden-hour light.

"Exceptional"
Location was perfect for when we visited Kew Gardens during Christmas. 5 Minute walk from the tube and in such a quiet place in the city. The apartment was so cozy and perfect for a couple for a night or two away in London that is not in the centre (to keep costs down)
What could be improved: Nothing, perfect place for a night away in the city

"Quiet, Clean & Efficient"
Clean, efficiency — bed comfortable and quiet neighborhood with grocery shop around corner.
What could be improved: Small shower might be challenging for a larger person. Otherwise, it was great!
Also, a different color bed linens would make better photo. Navy blue or light green? Gray is not so attractive.

"Perfect little studio for visiting Kew Gardens"
- The facilities were as described
- The proximity to Kew Gardens was perfect
- The staff were helpful and advised that the people in the dry cleaners could do luggage storage. That allowed me to spend more time at the gardens.
- The bed was comfortable.
- The shower was good with good pressure
What could be improved: - The kitchen had the basics - cutlery, crockery, etc but if you were staying for longer and planning to cook a lot there was not a wide range of equipment. However, I only stayed for one night and there was everything I needed.
- There was quite a high step in the shower and a portable step provided - I have mobility issues, and having the little extra step was greatly appreciated. People with worse mobility issues may need to consider.

"Convenient location and good for a short stay."
Well equipped kitchen for self-catering. Alternatively, close to pubs and restaurants for eating out. On bus route and short walk to Underground.
What could be improved: The WiFi dropped out for a few minutes on several occasions, which made using internet difficult and interrupted some TV channels.

"great stay in well equipped and clean property, handy for Kew Gardens and Richmond"
We were really happy to stay at this property. It was exactly as described and in a great location for Kew Gardens tube. We had great communication from the owner. He was reassuring and gave good directions for getting to the property. It was very clean and well equipped for our stay. Although we only spent one night, we would happily return for multiple nights. There are good shops and cafes nearby inc Tesco Express for grocery needs
What could be improved: we liked everything
