Overview
First Impressions
The Spacious 2-BDR Flat! 1 minute to tube station is exactly what it promises — and honestly, that one-minute walk to Ladbroke Grove station isn’t an exaggeration. I timed it. You step out the door, turn left, and boom, you’re at the entrance. For a four-star place in London, that kind of transport connection is pretty much gold, especially when you’re juggling suitcases and trying to figure out the Oyster card system.
The Space Itself
The apartment actually feels spacious, which is saying something in London where “cozy” usually means you can touch both walls at once. The two bedrooms are proper sized — I mean, you can walk around the bed without doing a sideways shuffle. The kitchen is surprisingly well-equipped too, with a full-size fridge and everything you’d need if you want to skip the £15 breakfast spots nearby. The living area has this nice setup where you can spread out your maps and guidebooks without taking over someone’s sleeping space.
Location and Neighborhood
Ladbroke Grove isn’t exactly tourist central, but that’s actually what makes it interesting. You’ve got Portobello Market about a 10-minute walk south — and I’d recommend going on weekdays when it’s less of a mob scene. The area feels properly London residential, with those white Victorian terraces and the occasional corner pub that locals actually use. There’s a Sainsbury’s right around the corner, which saved me more than once when I needed provisions or forgot to pack something essential.
Practical Matters
The flat comes with all the stuff that actually matters when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night. Good WiFi that doesn’t cut out every time someone walks past the router, a washing machine (seriously underrated when you’re traveling), and enough room to unpack properly. The shower has decent pressure too — not one of those dribbling affairs you sometimes get in older London buildings. Parking is street parking if you’ve got a car, though honestly, with that tube connection you probably won’t need one.
Why Guests Love It
What really works here is the combination of space and connectivity without the Kensington price tag. You’re technically in Kensington and Chelsea borough, but you’re not paying Zone 1 money for it. The place sleeps four comfortably, making it brilliant for families or friends traveling together who want their own space but don’t want to book multiple hotel rooms. It’s the kind of setup where you can actually live a bit rather than just crashing between tourist activities — and sometimes that makes all the difference in how a trip feels.

"Great location close to Portobello Road and public transport"
Excellent location, nice rooms, great beds and very clean. Bus stop in front of the property and subway is less than 10 minutes walking distance. Portobello Road just around the corner and a few supermarkets close by. It was an easy ride to St Pancras’s railway station.
Our host also reached out to us during our stay to check if all was OK.
What could be improved: Nothing

"Spacious apartment perfect for a family with two children right next to great restaurants & London!"
Spacious apartment perfect for a family with two children who want their own room. The apartment looks exactly like the pictures and is very close to great brunch places, restaurants and pubs, cosy Notting hill with Portobello road, as well as right next to bus stop and the tube. Great communication and thoughtful host checking in during our stay offering help if needed!
What could be improved: We travelled end October/November, a cooler period causing cooler temperature especially in one of the rooms. Even though we are from Sweden we are used to a bit warmer indoor temperature, although we understand it can be like this in a classic English Town house. The surroundings made up for the slightly cooler indoor temperature in one of the rooms.

"Decent but nothing special."
Property is in a beautiful area, good lighting and simple furniture. Heated floors in the bathroom was a plus too. Beds were comfortable and a beautiful design.
What could be improved: Communication with host was very very poor. Had issues with general heating and was messaged on the first day for him to finally text back a week later.
Kitchen had limited utensils. No wardrobe at all- clothes had to remain in our bags as only drawers were available.
A lot of small damages within the house so photos had to get taken to make sure we weren’t blamed for any of it.

"Pleasant"
The location was very good, there was a bus stop right outside the flat and the underground was only a 10 minute walk. It was a clean, modern flat with comfortable mattresses. I would recommend this accommodation, especially during the warmer months.
What could be improved: The weather in the middle of November was quite cold but so was the flat. We tried to adjust the temperature using the thermostat, but either it didn't work or we didn't know how to use it properly. At one point, they asked if everything was OK, but when I mentioned this issue and asked for a solution, such as help with regulating the temperature or providing some blankets, they didn't respond.
There is also limited kitchen equipment, so bear this in mind if you want to prepare food.

"Posizione eccellente casa bellissima ma gestione generale non proprio buona"
La posizione e' perfetta dietro portobello road.
Appartamento nuovissimo
