Overview
First Impressions
You know what strikes you first about South Ken designer pad? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Cranley Gardens, and honestly, you’d walk right past it if you weren’t looking. But that’s actually part of its charm — it feels like you’re staying at a friend’s impossibly stylish London apartment rather than some generic hotel. The whole setup has this understated elegance that screams South Kensington without being flashy about it.
Location & Neighborhood
I mean, the location is pretty much perfect if you want to feel like a proper Londoner. You’re literally a five-minute walk from South Kensington tube station, which puts you right on the Piccadilly line — straight shot to Heathrow or central London. The Natural History Museum is practically around the corner, and you can stroll to Hyde Park in about ten minutes. What I really love though is that you’re on this tree-lined street where actual London residents live, so you get that authentic neighborhood vibe instead of feeling stuck in tourist central.
The Space
The four-star rating feels spot-on here. Each room has been designed with this modern minimalist approach — clean lines, carefully chosen furniture, and these massive windows that flood everything with natural light. The kitchen setup is actually functional (not just for show), which is rare in London accommodations. You’ll find proper appliances and enough space to prepare a decent meal, though honestly, with Borough Market just a tube ride away, you might find yourself eating out more than planned.
Practical Details
Here’s something that matters — the Wi-Fi is solid, and there’s decent parking nearby if you’re brave enough to drive in London (though I wouldn’t recommend it). The whole building feels secure and well-maintained, and the management is responsive without being intrusive. You won’t find a traditional restaurant or concierge desk, but there’s something refreshing about the self-sufficient approach. They provide local recommendations that actually feel curated rather than generic tourist traps.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back is that perfect balance of independence and comfort. You’re staying in one of London’s most desirable neighborhoods, but you’re not paying Claridge’s prices or dealing with stuffy hotel formality. The 8.8 rating makes sense when you consider that you’re getting genuine local character in a prime location. It’s ideal for travelers who want to experience London like they actually live here — even if it’s just for a few days.
London’s apartments welcome long stays with terrace views, museum access, and bike routes to hidden mews streets.

"Amazing flat in SW7"
Beautiful flat, nicely decorated and based in one of the fanciest area in central London. Elaine, the host/owner, was lovely and communicated all required info in advance: she was always available and will reply to emails quickly. I liked the fact that the products and items (like bedding, towels) were all of really good quality: it’s really like staying in a 5 stars hotel
What could be improved: Nothing

"5 days in London .. it was perfect location and had all facilities you needed"
Property is on a really good street very close to transport and if you are a walker like us you can walk everywhere .
What could be improved: The stairs to the mezzanine bedroom a little tight .. you need the make sure you are hanging on when going up and down

Location absolutely perfect!
Well equipped for any needs!
Home from home!
The decor is stunning!
Perfect size for a couple!
What could be improved: Needs some blinds across the top windows for the summer months to keep the light out early hours.
Wobbly floor tile in the bathroom as you step out the shower.

"An artistically decorated studio in a lovely neighbourhood and with excellent public transport"
This is a nice, funky and personally decorated studio with a great location and nice street views. Easy access by tube to Heathrow from Glouchester Rd as well as anywhere by Piccadilly, District and Circle lines. Many attractions and shopping areas are within walking distance as are several food stores, Waitrose by the tube station, small M&S and Sainsbury’s in Fulham Road etc. Lots of restaurants, bars, cafes and pubs nearby but not too close to cause noise. Small kitchenette had all I needed for my stay; I especially appreciated the Nespresso coffee machine and capsules provided. Bed linens and towells were of good quality and the bed was comfy. Lots of interior decoration books for entertainment. The apartment was great for one but would accommodate two as well. Keys were easy to get from a small shop by the tube station and Elaine was exceptionally pleasant to communicate with. Given written instructions were accurate and adequate.
A nice experience and I am happy to come back and recommend this accommodation to others, too.
What could be improved: The lights were adjustable but yet quite dim and a reading lamp would be nice by the bed. Some details (door knobs, balcony furniture, floor, bathroom top..) would benefit of some gentle attention. The stairs to the bed are steep, which might be a problem for guests with some disability especially at night, although this was clearly pointed out in the instructions given. Some traffic noise from the street, but I am used to wearing earplugs at night why it wasn’t a big problem to me.

I loved everything about this tastefully decorated apartment. So charming and has everything you need. 9 minute walk to Gloucester Road station which made it easy to connect to any part of the city. The bed was super comfy and the shower pressure amazing. Elaine was always available and made my stay comfortable. Highly recommended!

"in the middle of Chelsea, it's like a typical London sitcom"
The area, very lovingly furnished, the little balcony is great too. There is a "Späti" just a short walk away, about 7 minutes. The subway is very close by. and the apartment are fantastically beautiful.
What could be improved: nothing, everything was perfect :) we loved it a lot!

"A pretty and interesting flat in a great location."
The flat is lovely and whimsical, and had all we needed. The location is perfect for the big Kensington museums, and has lots of Tube and bus connections for the rest of the city. Oh, and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony when the weather permitted.
The owner Elaine is very easy to communicate with, and it was a pleasure staying there.
What could be improved: If you have sight or mobility issues, it might not be for you, as the stairs up to the bedroom are somewhat steep.
