Overview
First Impressions
Soho Mews House sits tucked away on a quiet side street that feels worlds apart from the chaos of Oxford Street, even though you’re literally a three-minute walk from all that madness. The building itself has that understated elegance thing going on — you know, the kind of place where the doorman nods knowingly rather than making a big show. Walking up, I honestly thought I’d stumbled onto a movie set because the whole mews setting feels almost too perfectly London to be real.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot in London — you’re right in the heart of Soho, but on one of those miraculous streets that stays relatively peaceful. You can pop out for late-night dim sum on Wardour Street, catch a show in the West End (seriously, half the theaters are within walking distance), or just wander through those narrow Soho streets that change personality completely depending on the time of day. The Tottenham Court Road tube station is close enough that you don’t need to think twice about getting anywhere in the city.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in felt like someone’s incredibly stylish London flat rather than a typical hotel space. There’s this nice balance between modern comfort and that slightly worn-in feeling that makes you want to actually relax rather than worry about touching anything. The windows open onto the mews, which means you get proper natural light without the street noise — actually pretty rare for central London. I mean, the bathroom wasn’t huge, but it had one of those rainfall showers that makes you linger longer than you planned.
Dining & Atmosphere
The ground-floor restaurant has this intimate, almost residential vibe that works really well for both breakfast and dinner. I watched them serve what looked like excellent modern British fare to other guests, though I’ll admit I got distracted by all the incredible food options right outside the door. The staff here seem to actually know the neighborhood — they pointed me toward a fantastic little wine bar around the corner that I never would’ve found on my own.
Why Guests Love It
What makes this four-star place special isn’t any single standout feature, but rather how everything just works together. You’re staying somewhere that feels authentically London without being precious about it, and the location means you can experience Soho like someone who actually lives here rather than just passing through. The service hits that sweet spot where they’re attentive without hovering, and honestly, after a few days, walking back through the mews to your temporary home base becomes one of those small travel pleasures you didn’t expect.

Nice place and location.
What could be improved: The only small thing was little water pressure in the shower.

"Great house in a great location. Very close to everything."
The location of this place was excellent with plenty of restaurants and cafes around. Walking distance to all the major areas and shows. The home is very well decorated and had a great decor. it is a very lovely house. It was modern, had a great feel, great appliances and a warm welcome from the hosts.
What could be improved: The only challenge is the stairs. The main bedroom is several floors below the ground floor and the main bathroom is one more floor down from there. There is only one bedroom that has a bathroom directly beside it. And the top bedroom, you would need to come down stairs to get to the closest bathroom. This is not a problem.. it is just something to consider for those people who don't do well with stairs. The other issue was in the main bedroom, the noises from restaurant or bar was quite noisy until very late at night and you can also hear the tube. This was only in the main bedroom. We were ok as long as we had earplugs in when we sleep.

"Secret luxury in the heart of Soho"
Amazing location. In the heart of Soho, but completely quiet. Beautifully designed and fitted and so much space. Felt like a real treat. Pleased to have tea and coffee left. We were able to get milk from Sainsbury's. We were also pleased that the hosts had left dishwasher and washing machine tabs. Very handy.
What could be improved: The apartment is over five floors. Not a problem, but good to know. Felt we'd worked off our posh meal by the time we left. The marble table top and side tables had ring stains on, which gave the impression that it wasn't as clean as it was. If the host is reading this - some hooks by the door and in the bathroom would be handy.

"Perfect, comfortable, stylish base in heart of West End"
Best place we have ever stayed in. Exactly as photos, house is absolutely beautiful, comfortable fixtures & fittings & very stylish, was so clean like we were 1st people to ever stay there. Location is perfect, literally in heart of the west end. Chinatown, Trafalgar square, covent garden, Leicester square, Westminster, national gallery & embankment and all main attractions within easy walking distance. We didn't use courtyard (it's February!) but having your own outside space in this location is exceptional. Clear & easy instructions for getting key. Welcome gift was amazing, only regret is we were only staying 2 nights!
What could be improved: Wouldn't be great if you can't manage stairs (e.g. elderly or very young), take ear plugs if light sleeper (as would be true for all central London stays) - but for us (family with 2 older teens) this place was perfection.

"Would stay here again."
Beautiful property, great central location.
What could be improved: The power went out both times we tried to use the kettle and all the stairs :(

"Central High End Oasis."
The Property is amazingly located in the middle of SoHo.
Given the location it is very quiet as it is set back from the street.
The kitchen is furnished to a very very high standard. The finish throughout is very high standard, not your typical Airbnb.
The three bedrooms are lovely and it's an oasis in the middle of a bustling city. I would give 11/10 if i could.
What could be improved: We never got to meet the hosts. It was all self-check in. Fine for us as they sent videos on how to work everything.
There are two bathrooms and only one of the bedrooms is an en-suite. The other two have to share a bathroom. Not a big deal for us, but for bigger groups could be a problem.
Greek street if you don't know it is very busy and has a very active night life.

"Very happy with my experience."
The location was absolutely perfect, and the house was immaculate. It was great to have outdoor space, and despite being so central, it was incredibly quiet. For foodies there were an abundance of places to eat right on your doorstep. The property definitely has wow factor and felt brand new. The host clearly has many listings, which explains the high level of professionalism throughout. This is obviously a very well-managed property. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a London stay
