Overview

First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Single room Hayes, Heathrow, London, Free parking, I’ll be honest — it’s not what you’d expect from a typical hotel. This unique boutique hotel without official star rating sits quietly on Birchway in Hayes, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed place than checking into some corporate chain.

Location Reality Check

Look, Hayes isn’t glamorous, but here’s what actually matters: you’re literally minutes from Heathrow without paying those ridiculous airport hotel prices. The parking is genuinely free (and trust me, that’s worth its weight in gold around here), plus you’ve got decent bus connections into central London if you’re planning to explore. I mean, it’s not Covent Garden, but sometimes practical beats pretty.

The Space Itself

The room is simple but thoughtfully done — sort of like someone took a studio flat and made it work for travelers. You’re not getting fancy amenities or room service, but everything you need is there and it’s clean. The bed’s comfortable enough, and honestly, after dealing with airport stress, that’s what counts most.

What Works Here

What I appreciated most was how straightforward everything is. No pretense, no trying to be something it’s not — just a solid place to crash when you need to be near the airport. The host clearly knows what travelers actually need: somewhere safe to sleep, easy airport access, and no parking headaches. You know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want.

Why It Makes Sense

This place fills a real gap — it’s for people who need airport proximity without the corporate hotel nonsense or the sketchy budget options. If you’re catching an early flight or have a long layover, it actually works brilliantly. The 5.1 rating might not sound impressive, but it reflects what this is: basic, practical, and doing exactly what it promises without any fuss.

London’s apartments welcome long stays with terrace views, museum access, and bike routes to hidden mews streets.

"Okay for a budget stay."
The location is perfect for my work. I can walk to the union park site. Lots of great shops around and the Elizabeth Line is very close you can take a bus or even walk. The slats were broken and replaced the next day. So the owner reacted very fast. The two chairs in the kitchen are very cheaply made. It should be a bit more comfortable especially when you work all day there’s no space to wind down and relax.
What could be improved: The bed is very basic and not very comfortable. The room itself is very very basic. There is no living room and no tv. Cleanliness is basic.

"Unsafe Property, Host Intimidation, and Booking.com Failed to Protect Me"
Nothing
What could be improved: I had an extremely distressing experience at this property, and I feel obligated to warn other travelers. The host’s behavior was not just unprofessional — it was threatening, unethical, and made the property completely uninhabitable. Upon arrival, the host: Told me to collect dirty bedsheets from the backyard, make my own bed, and wash the previous guest’s linens in exchangeforearly check-in. Tried to lure me into canceling the booking on Booking.com and pay him in cash, so he could avoid paying the platform’s commission. Claimed the single room I had booked was unavailable, and tried to charge me more for a double room I didn’t ask for. Became increasingly rude, aggressive, and intimidating when I questioned his demands. Feeling unsafe, I had no choice but to leave the property and book emergency accommodation elsewhere, at my own cost. What’s worse is that Booking.com failed to help me at every step: I reported the issue immediately upon arrival. Instead of intervening or offering a resolution, they simply told me "you don’t have to pay the extra fee". They took no action to investigate or support me when I was forced to leave due to the host’s threatening behavior. Eventually, they refunded me only £30, which is absolutely unacceptable given the severity of the situation and the costs I incurred for emergency accommodation. It honestly felt like Booking.com was trying to minimize the situation and protect their own interests, rather than protect their customer.

"Pleasant"
The room was clean. It had proper working outlets and everything you would need for a short stay.
What could be improved: Took too long ro answer the door knowing the keylock wasn't working properly. The bathroom could have been a bit more tidy.

"Please avoid, booking is not guaranteed even if it's booked and confirmed though Booking.com"
What could be improved: Single room booked through Booking.com, confirmation received as usual, payment collected. On arrival we were told room is no longer available, been listed on multiple websites and therefore sold elsewhere! No apology for the error, no alternative offered. Been told we can pay extra in cash and have a double room if we like or refund and look elsewhere! Host was rude, arrogant and ignorant. Please avoid this place!

"泊まっていたいのでわかりません。"
利用していないのでわかりません。 ですので、点数がつけられないので全部最低点になりました。
What could be improved: 確認メールへの返信が遅れたためか、知らぬ間にキャンセルされていました。 当日、予約したタクシーの運転手の方が、わたしのために別のホテルを探してくれて、宿泊することはできました。 こんな経験は初めてなので、とても残念です。
