Overview
First Impressions
Redchurch House sits on a quiet side street in Shoreditch, and honestly, you might walk right past it if you’re not paying attention. The building has this understated Georgian charm that feels refreshingly genuine in an area where so many places try too hard to be cool. It’s a room-only operation — no grand lobby or concierge desk — just a sleek reception area that gets you sorted quickly.
The Shoreditch Scene
You’re literally in the heart of East London’s creative quarter here, which means vintage shops, independent galleries, and some seriously good coffee within a two-minute walk. Boxpark Shoreditch is around the corner if you need your fix of street food and browsing, while the Sunday flower market on Columbia Road happens just down the road. The location works particularly well if you actually want to experience London beyond the tourist trail.
What You’re Getting
This three-star hotel keeps things simple but does it well. The rooms are compact but thoughtfully designed — think clean lines, decent lighting, and everything you need without unnecessary frills. The beds are comfortable enough, and the bathrooms are modern with good water pressure (always a win in London). You know what I appreciated? The rooms actually have proper blackout curtains, which is rarer than it should be.
Food and Neighborhood Eats
There’s no restaurant on-site, but that’s actually perfect for this area — Shoreditch has some of the best eating in London. Dishoom’s excellent curry house is a short walk away, and you’ve got everything from Vietnamese bánh mì to proper East End bagels within easy reach. The hotel staff know their local spots and aren’t shy about sharing recommendations.
Why Guests Love It
What really works about Redchurch House is how it fits into the neighborhood rather than trying to stand apart from it. The staff are genuinely helpful without being overly formal, and there’s secure parking available if you’re driving (though honestly, you won’t need a car here). It’s the kind of place that feels like a good base camp rather than trying to be a destination itself — and in Shoreditch, that’s exactly what you want.

"Quiet central location."
Central but quiet location. Had good basic kitchen facilities. Lovely bathroom.
What could be improved: There was an annoying repetitive outside noise. Four/five beeps every 30 secs or so. This continued for the whole of our stay, even overnight. Nothing to do with the property and must have annoyed the neighbours too.

"Perfect stay for a long-ish holiday!"
The location is amazing - good coffee places and food just 3 mins away. It is also bigger than in pictures, especially for London. Also very clean! The support team is also very helpful and responds straight away.
What could be improved: As per other reviewers - shower door quite small. Can be quite hard to get in and out.

"Excellent stay in a great location!"
The location was perfect, just in between Boxpark and Brick Lane. Some amazing local street art and restaurants in the area.
The accomodation was very clean and tidy, with more than enough home facilities - WiFi, kitchen appliances, iron etc
Check in was very easy. The host, June, was excellent with communications.
What could be improved: I had an issue with the shower which I have spoken to the host about.

was so central everything was so close including a Sainsbury’s that was a 5 minute walk. the surrounding area had lots of nice food places and bars. would definitely come back to this property for the location.
What could be improved: it needs a little bit of tlc with paint and some cupboards loose but apart from that had a great stay.
