Pretty Apartment in Notting Hill – 1 min from tube is one of those finds that makes you feel like you’ve cracked the London code. The name isn’t kidding about the tube proximity — I literally timed it, and you can be on the platform at Notting Hill Gate in under sixty seconds. The building itself has that classic West London charm, tucked right into the heart of one of London’s most vibrant neighborhoods.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what I love about this spot? You’re right in the thick of things without the tourist chaos of central London. Notting Hill Gate puts you minutes from Hyde Park when you need green space, and the famous Portobello Road market is just a pleasant stroll away. The four-star property sits perfectly positioned — close enough to grab morning coffee from those cute independent cafés, but far enough from the weekend antique hunters that you won’t get trampled on Saturday mornings.
The Space
This is where the apartment really shines, honestly. Instead of cramped hotel quarters, you get actual living space that feels like home. The kitchen is properly equipped — not just a mini-fridge and kettle situation — so you can actually cook if you want to save money or just fancy a proper breakfast. The room layout makes smart use of London’s typically tight square footage, and there’s enough natural light to make the space feel bigger than it actually is.
Getting Around
I mean, the transport links alone make this place worth considering. From Notting Hill Gate, you’re on the Central, Circle, and District lines — which basically means you can get anywhere in London without the usual tube gymnastics of switching lines multiple times. Twenty minutes to Oxford Street, fifteen to Paddington if you need the airport, and you can walk to Kensington Gardens when the weather’s decent.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is that it gives you the London flat experience without the hassle of actually renting one. You get your own space, your own routine, but with the backup of proper management if something goes wrong. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel — real Londoners doing their shopping, walking their dogs, heading to the pub after work. "The location was perfect, great for a few night stay, clean, bathroom needs updates."
The location was unbeatable. Certainly the highlight of the booking. The apartment was close to the metro, bus lines, cute neighborhoods and cafes. Cute decoration in the apartment made it feel cozy. Full stacked kitchen and the heating worked well. Check-in and Check-out were smooth and easy.
What could be improved: The bathroom. The shower: You were either burning hot or too cold with mediocre water pressure. We recieved info about the shower with the check-in information and it did mention how to get the temperature at the right mark, but, it was a super fine line getting it to the right temp. Extremely annoying. The owner clearly knows there's an issue with the shower.... Replacing the shower system is recommended so the mixer works better. The vent: Does not work. It needs to be replaced. Its just making noise at this point.
The stress of a $200 fee for accidently leaving the key inside the apartment after getting locked out of an automatically locking door kind of sucked. Auto-locking doors seem... unforgiving.
Honeslty would have given a 10 star on this review but the bathoom lost it 3 stars.

"Great for a few days in the heat of Notting Hill."
The location is perfect. It really is close to the tube and right in the heart of Notting Hill. Although the entrance to the building is a little shabby,, and there are quite a few stairs, once inside you are greeted with a clean, smart apartment. The lounge is cozy and comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom functional , although the shower temperature can be a little tricky, and a delightful double bedroom. The bedroom is at the back of the property, and is therefore away from the noise of the high street.
I will definitely stay again.
What could be improved: Shower temperature control is difficult to maintain. The water runs hot, then cold for a while before heating up again. The water pressure isn’t great but certainly adequate.

"Experiencia pésima y nada económica -Decepcionante"
Lo mejor la ubicación
What could be improved: Reservamos este apartamento anunciado para 3 huéspedes, pero claramente no está preparado para alojar a más de dos personas con comodidad.
Sofá cama inutilizable: El sofá cama del salón es extremadamente incómodo, sin colchón adecuado. Incluso sentado para ver la televisión resulta doloroso. Además, las ventanas no cierran bien, lo que permite que el ruido de la calle entre, haciendo imposible dormir en esa zona.
Dormimos los 3 en una cama doble: Ante la imposibilidad de usar el sofá cama, tuvimos que dormir los tres en una cama de matrimonio estándar durante 4 noches. Solicitamos al anfitrión una solución (colchón adicional, cama supletoria…) y su respuesta fue que “es lo que hay”.
Equipamiento insuficiente: La mesa de comedor solo tiene dos sillas adecuadas; la tercera persona debe usar una silla de despacho con ruedas o una silla baja de dormitorio. Además, el apartamento está en una tercera planta sin ascensor, algo que no se menciona en el anuncio.
Falta de suministros básicos: Tuvimos que comprar pastillas para el lavavajillas, bolsas de basura, papel higiénico… No había cafetera, ni café, té o azúcar, como suele ser habitual en alojamientos similares en Reino Unido. Solo se proporcionó una toalla de mano para los tres huéspedes.
Ducha inestable: La temperatura del agua de la ducha cambia constantemente de muy fría a muy caliente, lo que la hace muy incómoda.
Sin opción de dejar maletas: Tras el check-out, no se nos ofreció una alternativa segura para dejar el equipaje, solo la opción de dejarlo en el portal bajo nuestra responsabilidad.
En resumen: cero comodidad, cero facilidades. Una experiencia muy frustrante que no recomendamos en absoluto.
