Overview
First Impressions
The moment you step into Park Hyatt London River Thames, you know you’re somewhere special. This five-star property sits right on the south bank of the Thames in Nine Elms — honestly, it’s one of those locations that makes you feel like you’ve discovered a secret corner of London. The lobby has this understated elegance that screams luxury without being flashy, and the views through those floor-to-ceiling windows? Well, let’s just say the Thames never looked so good.
Location & Neighborhood
Nine Elms isn’t your typical tourist stomping ground, but that’s actually what makes it brilliant. You’re literally a stone’s throw from Battersea Power Station — which has been transformed into this incredible shopping and dining destination — and the new Covent Garden flower market. The hotel’s position means you get proper river views without the crowds you’d find near Tower Bridge or Westminster. Plus, the new Northern Line extension means you can hop on the tube at Nine Elms station and be in the heart of London in minutes.
The Room Experience
My room faced the river, and I mean, the view alone justified the splurge. The interiors strike this perfect balance between contemporary design and warmth — think rich fabrics, marble bathrooms, and those little touches that remind you you’re at a Park Hyatt. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, and the blackout curtains actually work (crucial for anyone who values a proper night’s sleep). What impressed me most was the attention to detail — even the bathroom amenities felt thoughtfully curated rather than just expensive for the sake of it.
Dining & Amenities
The hotel’s restaurant, Great Scotland Yard, serves up modern British cuisine that actually lives up to the hype. I wasn’t expecting much — hotel restaurants can be hit or miss — but the Sunday roast here was genuinely exceptional. The spa is compact but perfectly formed, with treatments that focus on results rather than just relaxation. And you know what? The pool area has these massive windows overlooking the Thames, so you can do laps while watching the river traffic go by.
Why Guests Love It
This hotel gets the big things right — the service feels genuinely personal rather than scripted, and the location gives you that insider’s view of London that most visitors never experience. The staff seem to actually care about making your stay memorable, not just ticking boxes. Sure, it’s an investment, but for a luxury London experience that doesn’t feel like every other five-star chain, Park Hyatt London River Thames delivers something special. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.

"Amazing hotel room, great views, questionable service."
The room was beautiful and super comfortable.
What could be improved: Service at the breakfast restaurant was very slow, and our order was mixed up. At checkout, we were mistakenly charged for several extras — thankfully we noticed and had them corrected, but it required close attention and follow-up. Disappointing check out experience.

"All in all, a flawless stay. I would happily return and highly recommend."
Park Hyatt London River Thames was a 5-Star Experience
From start to finish, this stay exceeded expectations. The staff were incredibly attentive, professional, and welcoming, a true 10/10 for service.
The room was a beautiful blend of contemporary elegance and comfort: spacious, meticulously furnished with thoughtful details, and filled with natural light. The views over the River Thames were stunning and added to the sense of calm luxury.
The amenities were top-notch, including a satin hanger for my clothes, and I especially appreciated the dog-friendly policy, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
Breakfast was not only delicious but also artfully presented. We were served promptly, and the dining team made the entire experience feel relaxed yet refined.
A flawless stay, and I highly recommend.
What could be improved: If I had to be picky, the room refresh took a little longer than expected, though to be fair, I was in a bit of a rush to unwind after a long day of sightseeing.

"i love the park hyatt group of hotels, and would definitely return to this one."
we had an corner amazing room with expansive views of battersea station and the thames river. the sunsets were gorgeous. our room was luxurious and very comfortable with a beautiful tub overlooking the river, spacious shower (my husband is a big guy!), and well great courtesy toiletries (thank you for the toothbrushes!). we have a toto wc at home, so it was wonderful to find it in our room, in a well lit space. room service was amazing, and the cappuccinos at breakfast were the best i've had outside italy. oh, and the wait staff was extra nice to our yorkie, bringing water and a bit of ham for him!
What could be improved: nothing. it was perfect.

"Room with a view and walkablity"
We had our passports stolen during our trip and the Hyatt was right next to the US Embassy with parking so that is why I chose it. In the end, it was the nicest place we stayed on our honeymoon. The view was amazing, the staff were all so kind and helpful and we enjoyed the walkability of the location.
What could be improved: It was 55 Pounds to park per day, that felt like a lot.
