Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to 25 Paddington Hotel on Craven Road, you’ll notice it’s one of those classic Victorian townhouse conversions that Westminster Borough does so well. The building has that familiar London cream-colored facade, and honestly, it blends right into the neighborhood — which is actually a good thing here. It’s not trying to be flashy, just solid and dependable in that particularly British way.
The Location Game
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally a three-minute walk from Paddington Station, which means you can stumble out of bed and catch the Heathrow Express without breaking a sweat. London can be brutal for airport connections, so this is huge. Plus, you’ve got Hyde Park right there, and I mean right there — perfect for those early morning runs when jet lag has you up anyway.
The Room Reality
Look, this is a three-star hotel, so manage expectations accordingly. The room I stayed in was compact but cleverly designed — they’ve made the most of every inch without making it feel cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (always a gamble with smaller hotels), and the shower had decent pressure, which honestly made my day. The decor is clean and modern, nothing fancy, but you won’t be embarrassed to video call from here.
Neighborhood Vibes
Craven Road itself is pretty quiet for central London, lined with similar hotels and the occasional corner shop. What’s great is you’re sandwiched between Little Venice to the north — seriously underrated area for canal walks — and the chaos of Oxford Street to the south. The Tube connections here are fantastic; Paddington gives you access to multiple lines, so you can get anywhere without the usual London transport headaches.
Why Guests Actually Choose It
This place works because it gets the basics right without any pretense. The staff genuinely seem to care — they’ll actually remember your name and help with directions that make sense. There’s no fancy restaurant or spa, but there’s a decent breakfast spread, and you’ve got everything from Lebanese to proper gastropubs within walking distance. It’s the kind of place where business travelers and tourists mix naturally, everyone just trying to get on with their London plans efficiently.
Best hotels in London blend skyline terraces, modern British style, and classic English breakfast spreads.
Guest reviews
"Excellent, good value accommodation in an ideal situation."
In general I have been very happy with the facilities and position of all the London Nox Hotels in which I have stayed. This one is no exception. I was particularly impressed by the friendly and helpful reception staff (24 hours) who carried my case to the next door building and carefully placed it in a special room for safe keeping after check out. The bed was comfortable, the shower room clean and efficient and the wifi excellent. Also both the Lancaster Gate and Paddington hotels are very convenient for transport.
What could be improved: There was no bedside light or chair in the room.

"I will definitely consider staying here again. It’s older but clean and staff were very nice"
I actually really liked staying here. The location was spot on. The room was clean and was about the right size for London. The bathroom was clean and modern and had great water pressure. The only downfall was no elevator but the young man carried my bag up the stairs. I would consider staying here again. As Paddington was right across the street
What could be improved: Please have real milk not powdered milk for tea.

"Great location with friendly staff, a nice too. For the price I paid."
The location is great and the room I had was large and the shower was a good size too. The staff were very friendly and polite.
What could be improved: No lift is a bit of an issue if you have heavy luggage. The mattress wasn't great.
