First Impressions
Walking up to Olympic apartment – Stratford, you’ll notice it’s tucked away on a quiet residential street — which honestly surprised me given how close you are to all the action. The building has that modern London feel without being too flashy, and there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels more like a local neighborhood than a tourist hub. You know what I mean? Sometimes you want to experience London like you actually live here.
Location That Actually Works
Here’s the thing about Stratford — it’s gotten so much better since the Olympics, and this three-star spot puts you right in the sweet spot. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Westfield shopping center (which is massive, by the way), and the transport links are incredible. I mean, you’ve got the Central line, Jubilee line, DLR, and Overground all within easy reach. Getting to central London takes maybe 20 minutes, but you can also pop over to Canary Wharf or even out to Greenwich without the usual London transport headaches.
The Apartment Setup
The apartment itself feels properly lived-in — not in a worn-out way, but like someone actually thought about how you’d use the space. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Tesco nearby and cook something simple, which honestly saves a fortune when you’re staying in London for more than a couple days. The room layout makes good use of the space, and I appreciated having somewhere to properly unpack rather than living out of a suitcase.
Practical Perks
What I really liked was having that bit of independence you get with an apartment-style setup. There’s decent WiFi (actually works, unlike some places I’ve stayed), and the whole area feels safe to wander around even in the evenings. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving, but honestly, with the transport connections here, you probably won’t need a car anyway. The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is practically on your doorstep too — great for morning runs or just stretching your legs after a day of sightseeing.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but it does exactly what it says on the tin. You get proper value for money, you’re connected to everywhere you want to go, and you feel like you’re staying in actual London rather than some generic hotel district. The neighbors are friendly, there’s a good restaurant scene developing in the area (seriously, try some of the places near the station), and you can walk to the Olympic Park when you need some green space. For the price point and location, it just works.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
