Overview
First Impressions
I’ll be honest — when I first heard the name [Olympia-Museums-Kensington]London Apartment, I thought it was trying a bit too hard. But you know what? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there. This three-star place sits right on Baron’s Court Road in Hammersmith and Fulham, and it genuinely puts you within walking distance of some of London‘s best cultural spots. The building itself is typical Victorian London — nothing flashy, but it has that solid, lived-in feel that I actually prefer over shiny hotel lobbies.
The Neighborhood Reality
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re not stuck in touristy central London, but you’re not stranded either. Baron’s Court station is literally around the corner, and honestly, that Piccadilly line connection is gold. You can be at South Kensington’s museums in about ten minutes, or hit Covent Garden in twenty. The street itself is pretty quiet, mostly residential with a few local shops. There’s a decent Tesco Express nearby, which sounds boring but trust me, you’ll appreciate it when you need snacks or travel essentials.
The Space Itself
The apartment setup here is what sets it apart from your typical hotel experience. Each unit feels more like staying in someone’s actual London flat — which, let’s face it, is probably exactly what it is. The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully arranged, with enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The kitchen area is basic but functional — perfect for making morning coffee or storing leftovers from that amazing curry you’ll inevitably order too much of.
Practical Stuff That Matters
The Wi-Fi actually works well, which isn’t always a given in London’s older buildings. Parking can be tricky in this area — it’s mostly street parking with those confusing resident permit zones — but if you’re smart, you’ll skip the car entirely and use the tube. The staff is pretty low-key, which I mean in the best way possible. They’re around when you need them but won’t hover or try to upsell you on city tours you don’t want.
Why It Works
Look, this isn’t going to win any design awards, and at a 7.8 rating, it’s clearly not perfect. But what it does well is give you a genuine slice of London living without the premium price tag. You’re staying in a real neighborhood where actual Londoners live, not some sanitized tourist bubble. The proximity to Olympia exhibition center is genuinely useful if you’re here for events, and the museum access via South Ken is unbeatable. For the price point, you get independence, decent space, and that slightly quirky London experience that chain hotels just can’t replicate.

"Beautiful apartment could do with a few tweaks"
Lovely balcony, great location, decent amount of space, very quiet part of London, also a very welcoming host. Nice and clean apartment. Pros definitely outweigh the cons.
What could be improved: Kitchen is pretty much useless. No kitchen utensils other than butter knives forks and spoons, no shelves inside oven. Staircase can be difficult to climb but shouldn't be a problem unless you have mobility issues.

"Sweet home and pleasant stay."
It was clean and a perfect location close to the stations of West Kensington and Barons Court. The sofa bed was also really comfortable and the terrace is a lovely additional space.
What could be improved: There are a lot of small stairs winding up the house to reach this floor at the top and we carried luggage which I would not recommend. Not a good place to bring suitcases because of the stairs. Apart from that all good.

"Perfect stay, felt well at home. Thank you"
Perfect location. Very cozy place and perfect hosts. Welcome book explains everything you need.
What could be improved: The stairs to the apartment are a bit steep.

"Good"
Close to the underground station, easy to communicate with the owner and nice information.
No issues with the boiler, it was warm and you can set the perfect temperature you want.
What could be improved: Not really clean (mould in the bathroom) and the pictures from the description are too professional if we compare with the reality.
We had a food smell (cooking) from the neighbour because the door was not open properly.

"Very good"
The apartment was located near the tubes, as well as a bus stop, there are several grocery stores nearby, communication with the owner excellent, as well as check-in and check-out, the apartment has a small terrace that served the purpose, all in all the price-performance ratio was within expectations.
What could be improved: What I think is a bit negative is the following, but it probably won't bother other guests, but since I'm also a landlord of the apartment, a few little things bothered me, there was not a single knife in the kitchen, after contact with the owner he brought us one knife, what is not acceptable to me is that the owner entered the apartment and left a knife there, I would never do that to my guests, to enter the apartment while they are gone, and the other thing is that the sofa bed is very uncomfortable.
There is no mattress topper, so we used a blanket and put it underneath so that it would be as comfortable as possible and that we could sleep, we asked the owner for an additional blanket, but the answer was that there was none, so we only covered ourselves with a sheet because the blanket was underneath, here are all the remarks from my side.

"Amazing"
I stayed at this apartment from January 20th to 28th, and I can confidently say it was amazing! The location was super convenient, just a short walk to the train station.
What could be improved: if you’re traveling with parents or older family members, it might not be the best choice, as it’s on the top floor and carrying luggage up was quite a challenge.

"Exceptional"
The only issue with this fantastic apartment are the 50 steep internal stairs, but then I'm not very fit to drag a suitcase! Other than that, the location was clean and safe with great transport and amenities within 100m. Hammersmith is lovely. The apartment was clean and well appointed, everything you need for a short or longer break.
The roof terrace was cute and much needed.
Free tea, coffee pods, toiletry products all made our stay more enjoyable.
What could be improved: 50 internal spiral stairs. Slight musty smell.
