Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Nine Elms City Suites on Dorset Road, you immediately get the sense this is a place that knows what travelers actually need. It’s not trying to be something it isn’t — this three-star property sits comfortably in one of London‘s most rapidly changing neighborhoods, and honestly, that works in your favor. The building has that modern, unfussy look that suggests they’ve put their money into the right places.
The Neighborhood Reality
Nine Elms is fascinating right now — you’re essentially staying in London’s newest district while it’s still finding its feet. The American Embassy moved here recently, and there’s construction everywhere as luxury towers go up around you. But here’s the thing: you’re a short walk to Vauxhall station, which means you can be in central London in minutes. The area feels safe and purposeful, even if it’s not exactly picturesque yet.
What You Get
The suites are where this place really delivers — and I mean proper suites, not just hotel rooms with a sitting area shoved in. Each apartment comes with a full kitchen, which is genuinely useful when you’re staying more than a couple nights. The layouts actually make sense, with separate sleeping and living areas that don’t feel cramped. You know what impressed me most? The kitchens are properly equipped — not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation.
Daily Life Here
There’s no on-site restaurant, but that kitchen means you can pop to the nearby Sainsbury’s and actually save some money. The staff are helpful without being overly chatty, and they seem to understand that business travelers and families have different needs. Parking is available, which is honestly a relief in London — though you’ll pay extra for it, as expected.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
The 7.7 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s that sweet spot where you get genuine value without any unpleasant surprises. The Wi-Fi actually works reliably, the air conditioning keeps things comfortable, and when something needs fixing, they sort it out quickly. Nine Elms City Suites succeeds because it doesn’t overpromise — it just delivers exactly what a modern traveler needs in a city where hotel rooms often feel like expensive afterthoughts.

"Would book this place over and over again"
It's a 1 room accounting with a mini kitchen and a good size bathroom and toilet. Bed is good. Mattress is lovely. Everywhere is super clean! Room was really warm. I could not lower the temperature but all the same, great stay. I stayed in room 5. Its on floor 1. Its a 2 short flight of stairs.
What could be improved: Nothing to be honest, except the fan in the toilet needs to be vacuumed. Apart from this. All is perfectly clean and looks brand new.
Also , host to update the check out instructions on the laminated papers inside the room, since entry and exit is all by codes

"We had a nice time"
The apartment was very clean with a full functional kitchen that opens up to a small garden. The location is very good for a tourist visiting London because of its closeness to 2 underground stations and lots of shopping areas. Its also located in a safe, nice and quiet neighbourhood.
What could be improved: The only thing I didn't like was that it didn't have a window for viewing. However this was somewhat compensated by the large glass door that opens into the garden.

"A good budget-friendly hotel with everything you need and a convenient location"
We stayed here during a boxing event at Wembley, and the hotel was exactly what we needed. The location is great — just a short walk from Vauxhall station. There are supermarkets, a food court, so everything for a comfortable stay was within reach. The room had all the essentials, and the bed was comfortable. We had a great three-night stay.
What could be improved: The only thing we missed was having two separate duvets instead of one large one, which was a bit uncomfortable.

What could be improved: Check-in information was not sent on time and we had to call the host 10 times before we could get a hang of her to ask for access codes.
