New chic and luxury apartment
First Impressions
Walking up to New chic and luxury apartment on Elvaston Place, you’ll notice how quiet this tree-lined street feels compared to the bustle just around the corner. The building itself has that classic South Kensington elegance — white Victorian facade with those tall windows that let in so much natural light. It’s actually refreshing to find a place that feels more like a sophisticated home than a typical hotel setup.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, the location is what sold me on this place. You’re literally a three-minute walk from South Kensington tube station, which means the Natural History Museum and V&A are practically on your doorstep. What I love though is how residential this particular street feels — you get all the benefits of being in central London without the constant noise and crowds. The local Tesco Express is right there when you need basics, and there’s this great little café called The Breakfast Club just down the road that locals actually use.
The Space Itself
This four-star apartment feels genuinely chic without trying too hard. The design leans modern but warm — think clean lines with comfortable furniture you’d actually want to relax in. The kitchen is surprisingly well-equipped for a short-stay place; I mean, you’ve got proper cookware, a decent-sized fridge, and even a dishwasher. The living area flows nicely into the sleeping space, and those high ceilings make everything feel more spacious than the square footage would suggest.
Comfort & Amenities
The bed is properly comfortable — none of that rock-hard mattress nonsense you sometimes get in London rentals. What impressed me was the attention to details: good lighting for reading, enough plugs where you actually need them, and a bathroom with decent water pressure (you know how rare that can be). The heating works well too, which is honestly a relief during those damp London months when you just want to feel cozy indoors.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something about staying here that feels like you’re living in London rather than just visiting. You’ve got the freedom to grab groceries from Harrods Food Hall (it’s a ten-minute walk) and actually cook something, or you can explore the incredible restaurant scene in South Ken. The neighborhood has this perfect mix of museums, parks, and real London life that makes you feel connected to the city. Plus, having your own space means you can spread out, do laundry, and not worry about hotel checkout times when you want to explore at your own pace.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
