Overview

First Impressions

The Modern Serviced 3-bedroom flat in East London sits on a quiet residential street in Hackney that honestly feels worlds away from the typical tourist chaos. When I first walked up to the building on Boleyn Road, I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much — but this four-star property surprised me in the best way possible. The entrance is understated, which I actually prefer to those over-the-top hotel lobbies that scream “expensive mistake.”

The Space Itself

Walking into this apartment, you immediately get why they call it “modern” — everything feels fresh and thoughtfully designed without being sterile. The three bedrooms are genuinely spacious (rare for London, trust me), and each one has proper storage space, not those tiny wardrobes you usually find in short-term rentals. The main living area flows nicely into the kitchen, which actually has everything you need if you’re planning to cook some meals instead of eating out every night.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about this spot in Hackney — you’re close enough to central London that getting around is easy, but you’re staying in a neighborhood where actual Londoners live. The nearest tube station is about a 10-minute walk, and honestly, that short stroll through the residential streets gives you a much better feel for the city than staying right on top of a station. You’ve got some great local pubs and cafes within walking distance, plus that massive Victoria Park isn’t far if you need some green space.

What Makes It Work

The serviced aspect really shows — someone’s clearly thinking about the details that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. The Wi-Fi actually works well (tested it on video calls), there’s proper heating throughout, and the whole place feels like someone’s well-maintained home rather than a corporate room. I mean, you’ve got space to spread out your stuff, cook breakfast if you want, and generally live normally instead of cramming everything into a hotel room.

Why Guests Keep Coming Back

What strikes me most about this place is how it solves that classic London problem — finding somewhere that doesn’t feel cramped or overpriced. The three bedrooms make it perfect for families or groups who want their own space, and the location gives you that authentic London experience without the tourist markup. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with fancy amenities or concierge service, but sometimes what you really want is a comfortable, well-equipped base where you can actually relax between exploring the city.

"Great stay, good communication and property has loads around it."
Stayed here for work. Property was modern, clean and a short walk from shops, bars etc. Great place to stay if you want to explore London, tube is just down the road. We parked which was a bit of a nightmare. That was the only negative.
What could be improved: Parking- dreadful street parking which was VERY limited.

"Good location and spacious apartment but disappointing because of the points made above"
Spacious and clean
What could be improved: It was on the 5th floor which we knew about which involved about 8 flights of stairs and no working lift. It was incredibly hot at the weekend in London so the walk up and down with shopping, luggage, in and out was exhausting. Two of the bedrooms had no ventilation as the windows could not be opened. They were locked and there weren’t any keys. This made sleeping very uncomfortable unfortunately. There weren’t any no hand towels in the bathroom or en suite. There weren’t any no tea towels. The shower in the en suite was too hot and we couldn’t make it cooler so it had to be a quick shower.

"Great location, light and spacious, just needs a bit of local maintenance to make it even better"
The location was excellent for North London and the flat was clean and spacious . Great views and the balconies were good. Plenty of shops and cafes nearby and very vibrant market round the corner . 2 bathrooms great for family group., also big kitchen/sitting area
What could be improved: The flat needs a bit of updating eg kitchen equipment a bit tired and carpets definitely need replacing. One of the showers needs attention and the wifi code didn’t work. These are small issues which could easily be fixed and I think given the price should be fixed. It’s generally a really nice flat and worked well for us as a family group attending a wedding.

"Very good"
Good location, easy to reach Central London. Two big balconies with a nice view. The property is clean and has 2 bathrooms which is very good when you are in a big group. Shops nearby to buy food, drinks. Very good communication with the owners overall check-in and check-out and any information you need. We enjoyed our stay Small'remark the sofa in the living needs to be replaced or repaired.

"Hosts were quick at replying and our stay was mostly comfortable."
The property was very spacious with two very good size balconies. Very close to public transport, shops, bars and restaurants. Quiet at night so could easily get to sleep and wasn’t disturbed.
What could be improved: It says sofa bed in the description but it’s just an L shaped sofa for someone to sleep, it’s doesn’t pull out or have a mattress. So the sleep wasn’t comfy and no blinds in the living room so woken up early in there.

"Good"
What could be improved: When i book it, the parking was available as street parking- garage available, and one of the questions they said will give parking voucher, but after booking the asked to pay for street parking and the availability depends if there is empty slot, Now they changed the parking details as paid parking with price which wasn’t before

"Fantastic facilities and excellent location would recommend"
The location was great to two train stations
What could be improved: The couch was slightly broken at one end and a 2nd key for the property would be helpful
